![]() Author has written 2 stories for Newsies. About Me: Alright, I'll make this part quick. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Well, the neighborhood D.U.M.B.O., to be more specific. D.U.M.B.O. is an acronym that stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. My family and I lived in a flat a few blocks from the river. Loved it. But did you notice the past tense in the paragraph above? Well, there's a reason. About a year ago, my parents decided that the city wasn't the"right place" to raise their kids. They wanted us to grow up in a more "open environment". So on day, we picked up everything we owned, and moved. And now, I live in Nowhere's-ville, Ohio. And I'm stuck in the middle of a CORNFIELD!! UPDATE FROM NOWHERE: I miss home. Please let me go back! :( Interests Of Mine: Let's go Red Sox!! I'm so excited for the baseball season to get started! I wait for it all year! Unfortunately, the local ESPN only shows the "major" Red Sox games. (aka when they're playing the Yankees) So, I have to go online and read the highlights and scores for other games... -sad face- Oh, well. Only a few more months to wait for the season to start back up again. :P Alright, now I feel like I have to explain the whole "Red Sox fan who lived in NYC" thing. Well, my dad lived in Brooklyn his whole life, and was a dedicated Mets fan. And my ma lived in Boston, and was a dedicated Red Sox fan. I followed in my ma's footsteps and became a Sox fan. But my dad wasn't all that mad. Because "As long as I didn't turn out to be a Yankee" I'd be alright. Now that that's all cleared up, onto more important things! The part I actually update: Hey there everyone! Just sayin' hi! :3 My Religion: I feel like a lot of people on this site "confess" their religion, on their profiles... well, for me, I don't know what I am. I know about God, from many different cultures and many different religions... but I don't know which one's for me. I am part of the religion that is baseball (of course...) but other than that... (?) The closest thing that I've come to is Buddhism - and for me, it's more of a philosophy than a religion. But I feel that I may not really need a religion to be happy with my life. I've given the idea of religion a lot of thought, and find the study of it more intresting than the practice... (mainly because there are so many to choose from) And, for now, I'm okay with that. Because, I've found that in every religion that I've come across, people strive for an ideal. They try to be as perfect as they can be. They may not always succeed, but isn't that the point? To live and learn? To understand the effect of human kindness? And to strive to be the best you can be? Well, that's what I do. I just don't put a label on it. Current Projects...: Right now, I'm working on 4 Newsies stories. Only two of them are published yet. I'm still working out a few things. (so I like to have thought-out plot lines) But they will be up as soon as I figure out what I'm doing with them... www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BVHK8Yh8Bc -- this is the song "Maple Leaf Rag" by Scott Joplin.
