Ten years ago in Beijing, Amaya was almost died in a fire at her family home. She was saved by a man who she never thought she would see again. Now, on the day of her twentieth birthday her life is about to change again. She begins to piece together her families history in an attempt to understand what really happened on that night and find out who this Elijah Mikaelson really is.
