Jello Biafra - Original singer for the Dead Kennedys. A true entertainer and the main reason for America's response to the British invasion.

Ian MacKaye - "We're just... a minor threat!" He proved that even if you don't smoke, drink, or do drugs, you can still rock just as hard as anyone who does. Minor Threat ruled and is one of my favorite bands.

If you read anything in this profile, and think you "like" punk music, READ THIS!

Punk isn't just a rebellion against conformity. It was originally about bringing back 1950's rock and roll and playing something different than the rest of the crap at the time. (disco...) Punk is NOT really a genre, but an attitude, while the punk music is something that shows that. If you ever have thought Avril is a "punk" you should get rid of that thought right now. I know she's been on Mtv at least once, and even that is enough to say she's not punk at all. No punk rock group would EVER go anywhere near Mtv. Punk has been made into a trend and I'm tired of it. After all, Punk has ONLY been a movement that only the ones that truly don't want to conform would participate in. Green Day, The Virus, Rancid, Cheap Sex, Avril, and any other "punk" band made after 1988 are fakes. (Because the punk lifestyle died in the late 80's, and there is no way to bring it back) They are not punk, but just rock groups cashing in on the punk image to make sales. Most of the bands I listed above are TRUE punk rock bands, and they are FAST, RAW, and most have a lot of protest lyrics. For you virgins that have not heard true punk rock music, and are interested, start with bands like: The Damned, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Ramones, and Generation X. Those have more melodic "classic rock" roots. That way, you can get comfortable before moving into the Hardcore punk bands like: The Germs, Black Flag, The Circle Jerks, GBH, Zero Boys, Husker Du, and X.

With that out of the way... Anime is something that "kind of" interests me. I have a liking mostly to Akira and movies like that. But also I enjoy watching Naruto and Bleach from time to time. Not really much to say on that...
