Hello, my name is Katie. I’ll make this brief so you can move on to reading my stories. Basically, I’ve been writing since I was little and reading even longer. I first knew that I had the gift when I showed my very first story about a prince and his pet dragon to my mother. Sure, all mothers are proud of their child’s endeavors, but the way my mother’s face lit up…well, I knew it was something special, something more than most could hope for in a lifetime.

From that point on I honed my craft, and studied the writings of others in order to better my own. And then, one not-so-important English class, I was paired with a fellow classmate for a proof-reading exercise. I was disappointed at the writing incompetence of my schoolmates. I decided right then and there to make it my mission to show others the power of words. I figured I’d start here at FanFiction. Sure, I don’t compare to the masters like Shakespeare, Milton, or Stephen King, but I’m sure I will give you a good idea of what amateur writers should strive for.
