I've been playing frpg's and reading fantasy novels since I was a kid. I can vaguely remember playing some kooky little 2d b&w rpg on a similarly little old mac when I was very young, probably about six or so. I then graduated to a better mac and started playing Realmz...and it was there that my love of fantasy really began. I only stopped playing it a few years ago, and only as a result of that old mac of mine finally dying. I really loved that game! In time I found my way to other rpg's-Diablo I & II, Warcraft II & III, Neverwinter Nights and now NWN2.

While I'm not moonlighting as a tiny bit of a geek, I work as an archaeologist. I'm particularly interested in historical archaeology here in Australia, but also find the same field in North America very interesting too. If I could, I would love to work over there one day. Literature of all sorts is my other main interest, having also majored in English at university. I particularly love work from between the wars-Avant Garde and Modernist styles of literature, and also the period's art and film.

So, I began working on my fanfic at the start of 2010, and while it's been slow going I'm still chugging away on it. It'll be a while longer until I get around to publishing it, but I will eventually! For anyone interested the title is 'Interloper' and it follows the NWN2 OC, but with some tweaks. The major one is that my protagonist isn't the pc from the game...it's someone else, someone already part of that world, but she isn't a character in the 2nd game. She finds herself falling in with the KC and her party, but Interloper is most definitely her story so there is some deviation from the game plot.

While I loved the game there were some things about it that I wasn't completely happy with (plot-wise), so I've fiddled with a few things here and there, but nothing major besides the central protagonist. I've also tried to incorporate more lore and history into the story. Besides the NWN2 OC I've played the 1st game and the HOTU expansion, the characters and events of which do often come up in my story.
