The story begins a few days before Phil's birthday when Dan finds a new, very amusing, nickname for his best friend Phil. He also finds that his affections towards Phil are taking on a different direction. Phil struggles with feelings of insecurity but finds one thing that makes him feel better.

Dan has gone out but when he comes back home, there is something missing. Or more like someone.
