Among the dogwood and the birch
A well-worn path, presented a long time ago
This is where they flock

Well worth as the everyday citizen
Amidst the great and powerful eagles
As well as the rivaling hawk
There flies a lark

She keeps her nests downward
Lest they get trampled by the wind
The wind, the god of change
And yet she is stronger than it.

For no matter how much it gusts
Shattering the fragility of life
It is put back together
More irreplaceable than before

Though she is put down upon
She sings and sings and sings
