Sequel to my story "Alone". The Joker has sent Jeannie away, knowing he would always be far too dangerous and unstable to ensure her or their son any kind of safety. But Jeannie's love for Jack is stronger than he can possibly know, and she won't give up on him so easily.

The Joker once had a life removed from all this, different from what he'd become. But that life was gone, dead. He wasn't even sure if it had ever been real. That is, until she suddenly appeared, and now everything's become confused.
