pretty much anything goes but like any challenge theres a few rules

rules

1. no having naruto join team 7/kakashi later on in the story except for maybe team up missions.
2. If you bring up Uzushiogakure and who attacked and destroyed it. Please pick a different nation then one of the five great Shinobi nations. You can make one up and say it got destroyed by Konoha in retaliation. Heck you can chose The Land of the Sky which would make a heck of lot of sense based on what we know from the Second Shippūden movie.
3. If you bring Karin into The story have her and Naruto shared clan heritage be acknowledged and brought to the attention of both of them. Same with Naruto And Nagato.
4. You can have random Uzumaki clan descendants pop up in your story(and even as ninja of foreign villages)
5. Naruto must learn and become highly skilled in Fūinjutsu.
6. naruto must learn the shadow clone jutsu early(maybe by seeing someone else do it?) so that he/she can pass early.
7. If you use female Naruto(highly recommend since i really only ever read like two stories where fem!naruto graduates early) then feel free to stick with the Name Naruto(you can people address her as Naru)
8. If Naruto is a red head then they must be dubbed sometime during the course of the story ‘the second coming of the Red Hot Blooded Habanero’
9. if Naruto is blonde then the same applys with being dubbed ‘the second coming of the yellow flash’
10. His teammates should get cool nicknames to.

remember the naruto wikia is your friend.

if you find a way then you can have Uzushiogakure be re-established by a Uzumaki OC and have the person give honorary citizenship to all full blooded Uzumaki and part blooded descendants.

I highly encourage having at least one oc teammate and or the sensei be part of canon clans/descendants of canon clans. Not a requirement though

some suggestions i have that can go for either teammates or senseis(feel free to ignore)

Inuzuka clan heir? Maybe a OC cousin of Hana and Kiba? Maybe only distantly related to them.

Lee clan heir? Maybe even a OC cousin of Lee? Perhaps even Pac Lee(actual character)?

Hatake clan heir? OC cousin of Kakashi? Only distantly related?

Shimura Clan heir? Maybe a OC grandkid of Danzos(can also not be closely related)

Taketori clan heir?

Descendent of the Kohaku clan?

relative of Hiashi’s wife(maybe a younger sibling or niece/nephew)

Maternal or paternal cousin of Sakura Haruno

a older/younger cousin/younger sibling of Tenma Izumo who became clan heir when Tenma was killed?

grandchild of the Sandaime Hokage aka niece/nephew of Asuma Sarutobi/older cousin of Konohamaru and Mirai?

Child(ren) of one or both of Kushina unseen teammates who would have the same issues that Minato teammates would have?

relates to the previous two suggestions if Minato and/or Kushinas teammates died during the Kyuubi attack maybe their child(ren) is a god child(ren) of either Minato or Kushina or even both who had their minds messed with by a seal or a jutsu or something on the order of Danzo Shimura to forget about how Naruto is their younger god sibling(i wanna say something similar was used during that one Shippūden movie where Naruto and Yamato went back in time and met Minato and a younger version of Shibi Aburame, Chōza Akimichi and Kakashi Hatake). The OC(s) was led to believe that their younger god sibling was killed during the Kyuubi attack and the notion isn’t corrected until Jiraiya tells them and the rest of the team during a run in or something during a team mission that Naruto and the OC(s) are on.

Illegitimate child of Jiraiya?

Distant relative of Tsunade?(maybe Butsuma or his wife had a younger sibling that the oc character is a descendant of) or maybe the OC is either a grandchild or great(or great great) grandchild of Hashirama and Mito. If the OC is a grandchild of Mito(and thus first cousin of Tsunade and her brother) who parent was born after Kurama was sealed inside Mito then they must have two whisker markings on each cheek like Himawari and Boruto do in canon. If the OC is a great grandchild of Mito(thus probably somewhere between slightly older then Yoshino Nara and Tsume Inuzuka to a few years older then Asuma Sarutobi) who grandparent was born after Kurama was sealed then they must have one whisker marking on each cheek. Great great grandkids get no whisker markings.
