This is the 2nd of two stories I've started that both developed from the idea of taking Emma out of her new magical comfort zone and making her rely on her wits instead. Here, Emma and a wounded Killian find themselves dropped into the middle of an unknown wilderness when a stranger opens up a portal in the middle of Storybrooke and getting home is more difficult than planned.

While big things are happening in the small family of Emma Swan and Killian Jones, a family from The Land of Untold Stories starts to make their presence known. A crisis from far, far away begins to stir, and only a Savior who has found inner peace can help. All will lead to the importance of authenticity, family, and listening to your inner self. Set after 6x22.

CS AU, set in 1815. - Lord Killian Jones is haunted by the demons of his past which makes him nowhere near the man he once was, so he can't be the father he wants to be. And above all, he believes he is undeserving of love. Perhaps with Emma that is all about to change. Meanwhile, Henry and Violet both deal with a decision that could break them up. And Rumple struggles with his own demons while he's trying to be the man Belle and Gideon deserves.

With the Black Fairy defeated and the Final Battle won, Emma and Killian are able to focus on the important things—like their honeymoon. Thanks to a souvenir from the latest curse, Killian comes up with a way to give Emma the wedding trip of their dreams.

A season 6 canon divergence. There's an irony, she supposes, that something created to pull one into eternal sleep, is now a barrier to any sleep. Her body fights against the maddening exhaustion. She's just so tired, so fucking tired and she can't keep going like this.

This is just a one-shot of what I imagine will happen after Emma and Killian's wedding. Emma and Killian had just gotten married when the chaos they tried to avoid begins.
