11.26.05: About Sweet Mocha Chip...that's becoming my main focus. So, no updates on The Onlooker's Account any time soon.
SMC shall have a pretty long run, I'd imagine--I mean, I'm covering an entire school year, and since lately I've gone overmost weeks in detail I'd expect about 30-plus chapters (believe me, that is a long fanfiction considering that it's one of mine :) ).
I have pairing ideas. Of course there's probably going to be slash--it's been in my mission statement for writing this story in a while. In fact, let me show you a rough summary of my High School AU Mission Statement:

By writing this fanfiction (Sweet Mocha Chip), I am challenging myself with the task of writing a completely in-character work of fiction, dispel all romantic cliches as possible and compose and interesting read overall.

Erm, yeah. That was very short. Because I came up with that summary just now and wrote it up in about five minutes tops. But I've been thinking about it for a really long time!
Anyway, pairings: possibly some BBStar. I'm definitely considering that one. I say "of course" regarding slash because, unlike most high school AUs that circulate around romance, I am trying to have it deal with real life issues, ergo making it more realistic. Homosexual themes are encountered in every day life, and I for one am NOT going to shelter FF.net from all its beauty. ;)
Jinx and Victor are going to get their own storylines, respectively (as I still need to conduct more brainstorming for Victor). I've got new subplots for Richard and Garfield already, and Garfield's shall start in the next chapter.

11.23.05: Well, I certainly haven't been keeping up with the Radio Free Roscoe fandom, have I? Because until now I have been completely unaware that Travis and Ray are lovers, Parker is the favorite centric for a story, Lily smokes, Maggie and Waller get married and have children, and Sues make common appearances and get all the males trailing at their heels like puppies.
Wait a minute, back up...you know that last part? I've just realized that it's actually canon. Hoo boy. For we've got Suddenly Irrisistable!Sue, Quirky and Misunderstood!Sue, and finally Long Lost Friend!Sue. Poor, poor Swami.
Well! How pointless was that?

9/10 Rant of the Week (because today's Saturday). I hope that you read this: Alllll right. I'm a bit annoyed now, for a few reasons.
To start, the rabid RobStar fanatics who I've seen blatantly flame RayRob authors so many times: GET OVER YOURSELVES.
I was browsing the TT section, and came across this one story (a RobStar, so you know), and as usual I read the reviews first. Now, there have rarely been occasions when I've popped into the review section and seen a war going on, but this just happened to be one of those occasions. It was overrun by RobStar fanatics, and they were all profanely shouting their threats and hate towards RayRobs.
Okay. This has been going on since the beginning of time, I know...BUT WHAT THE FRICK IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE? Why do they make it their duty in LIFE to try to convert everyone to their "one true pairing," and make death threats to all who oppose? So WHAT if people don't ship the ship you ship? I hate to say this, but if you don't like then don't fucking read.
Here are some arguments by the RobStar fanatics that you should take a gander at:
"WHO! Pumps hand up in air YOU GO GIRL! I LOVED YOUR 7TH CHAPTER! RAVEN+ROBIN LOVERS SUCK! NO OFFENSE! PLZ DONT KILL ME RAVEN+ROBIN LOVERS!"
"...P.S. who ever raexrob I WILL STAB THERE HEART WITH A BLOODY DAGERD AND MAKE SURE THEY ROT IN HELL...have a nice day :) :P :O"
"I AGREE! ALL ROB/RAVE LOVERS SHOULD DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH! DIE, DIE, DIE!"
Of course, the RayRobs don't get much better...
"WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU PAIR STARFIRE AND ROBIN TOGETHER WHEN ROBIN SO OBVIOUSLY GOES WITH RAVEN! STARFIRE IS AN UGLY PIECE OF MONKEY DOODIE THAT DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE LOVED"
The above were all reviews for the same story. Word for word.
Now, I personally am more of a RayRob than a RobStar. Why? Because nearly all of the the RobStar stories are exactly the same. Everywhere I go, there are fics with summaries that loudly proclaim, "Rob n star hav a fight wat happns PLZ R/R!" or "slade kinapps Starfier wil robin save th day? starrob robstar srtoabrifn lol" or "The teen titans go 2 school! Wat kind of romance will come up next? robstarlol". For some reason, the RayRob stories tend to be more original, and as I have always been a fan of original plot that got me more attached to RayRob than RobStar. And to the rabid RobStars, there are ways that people can make it work. With the power vested in fanfiction, you can believeably end crushes, start new ones, etc., if you try hard enough.
I myself await many flames for any upcoming romances that I write. Why is that? Because I am more of a shoujo-ai fan than anything. That means that I can most easily write RayStar and RayJinx, because they are my absolute FAVORITE couples. And I can try as hard as I can to make it work. I could someday write a realistic, even believeable fanfiction about Raven and Jinx, and there will always be people who will try to bring me down just because of the relationship that I write about. Tell me, does that make sense to you, and would people find it acceptable if I flamed a RobStar while claiming that RayJinx is the only one-true-pairing? I don't think so.

8/20: I'm sort of on a Rayjinx rampage right now. Also Elphinda and Fielphie...or whatever the hell those pairings are called these days...hmm.
Today can be the day when I strangle Pfannee and Shenshen, and what the heck, Milla too. Have you figured out that I don't like them?

What really annoys me: I've come to the conclusion that, if there's one thing that majorly annoys me, it would be...uh, no, wait, that's too hard...Ahem. I've come to the conclusion that, if I could mention something that majorly annoys me right now, on my bio, that is somewhat relevant to fanfiction (yeah, that works), it would be INDISCREET LOVE TRIANGLE CLICHES.
They are so common. Which does in fact make them cliche. And, they're all the same, whether you like it or not. There are three people, usually two girls and a boy, and the boy gets together with one girl while the remaining girl moans, goes suicidal, and does something stupid like run through gunfire.
The reason I say "indiscreet" is because I am regarding the love triangles that are THE PLOT OF THE STORY. As in, that's pretty much all you're reading about. It's overdone, and people should at least TRY to be more original.
(breathes)
Okay. That was my 'what annoys me' rant for today.

7/21: It has suddenly occurred to me that, if everyone went by evidence from the show/comic series(s), it would be kind of weird...like, they'd get stuff from Gar telling Kori that he wants to have 129 1/2 babies (or whatever it was)...page 22 from "Shadows in the Dark"...evil!Wallace in bed with evil!Ray...Raven snogging Kori full on the lips...I'd better stop now. You never know how many shippers might be reading this at the same time. (major shudders)

Miracle of Miracles is:

Not an extremely active shipper (yes, I've calmed down a bit), but I like slash, especially shojo-ai.

Now, here's something that I'll do for all of those people who actually think that "I like the way you did your hair" translates into "I'm in love with you": I'll go up to your father, your sister, and your cat and say that I like the way that they did their hair. Your father will give me a weird look, your sister will slam a door in my face, your cat will scratch me, and I'll prove THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS.
Marius (LM, musical): I just don't like him. He's quite superficial...I mean, he was drawn to Cosette for by her looks. So, he and Eponine are my least favorite in the EpMarCos triangle, and Cosette is just okay, she doesn't bother me much.
Lazar Wolf (FOTR): (twitches) Aaaargh. For one thing, he was about to marry Tzeitel. BIG. NO. And he's a butcher, which I guess I shouldn't absolutely adore either. (seethes)
Raoul (POTO, musical): He bugs me for some reason that I cannot explain. That's all...
Fiyero (Wicked, book): I used to hate him. Profusely. But now I think he's not so bad. Vicki doesn't like his outlook on life.
Koga (IY, manga): He pisses me off. He's arrogant, and looks weird.
