I'm not a good writer. I'm not really a bad writer, either.

Please be patient with me; I've got a long ways to go, and only just recently got the guts to try this out.
I figure, if I want to improve, I'd best get some advice. No, I haven't read a 'fan fiction' before, and no, I'm really not sure what qualifies one as being... well, a fan fiction, but I wanted to give it a shot and try it out, because I wanted to write about my newest favorite character from a game I found not too long ago.

Just because I'm into KH doesn't mean I've played anything but Re:COM and KH2 and right now I'm playing through the first, all out of order. So no, I don't know all the characters. Sorry. No, I won't learn/write about any I haven't already learned about. As far as I'm concerned Organization XIII = just that. XIII. Yeah, I'd like to add some OC's, but I'd rather spend some time with the ones I already know and like before I go tossing in my own character all over the place like some crazy fruit salad. If I ever do, it probably won't be soon.

Yes, I include Namine. No, my writings don't have yaoi in them, or any kind of OC romance. Yes, I write from Demyx's POV a lot. No, I promise you, he's not an idiot.

My characters are off-canon, angsty, and they do curse. They get into trouble, get hurt, and most often have to deal with their problems head-on at one time or another. There's no escape, no magical key to freedom, and things do pile up, just like in real life. If that's not what you're after, please, take a gander anyway; tell me what it is that isn't up your alley. I love talking more than just the next guy would, and if you can be reasonable, I might actually listen. My characters like to talk, too.

My newest story is kind of strange. It's a L4D/KH crossover, and not having any experience writing stories, I can only guess it's going alright. I read plenty of books (not lately), and have written a few essays for class (before summer), so I at least know the basics. I hope it sounds interesting, but really I'm just hoping I'm not doing something others have already done better. I would give you a summary, but then again, it's not really finished. It's in the works, my lovelies.

To all that are having issues:

I understand I’m out of character here, but guess what? Despite the kind way of saying so, I’m not changing that. He’s using a gun because his powers ran dry, which would mean he can’t even summon his weapon. See? Even superheroes have their own letdowns, but that doesn’t mean they can’t improvise with the closest thing to them. He may be a coward and very lazy, but even those of us like the original Demyx will get our asses in gear when we’re in danger. Everyone has their own view and opinion of characters, and as you’ll find, there are many different versions. It doesn’t make it wrong or bad to tweak the character, but remember, I’ve never written fanfiction before. Later on (if I continue), he may slip back into Tetsuya’s original skin. Who knows? Maybe mine is a bit different. I’m not looking for views right now, I’m looking to get it out there, whether it’s read or not. I think it’s stupid to turn down something at first glance, but I’m not you. You have the choice to click away or keep reading, and I’m not going to stop you. But that goes two ways; you can’t stop me from writing him this way, if I’m happy with how my Demyx is. Saix may be second in command and give out orders and things, but I came into this without the knowledge of other games, just like those of us who started writing before any of the other games came out. Keep in mind, I want to go off-script here, use my imagination to its fullest. If it bothers you that much, pretend it’s a different universe. I’m not afraid to hear the hate comments if it means I get to post something I love doing, like writing about my favorite character. It’s just the way I am, and this is just the way my writing will be.
