Set after S3 . Molly is hurt by the fact that Sherlock didn't bother to say goodbye properly to her before leaving, assuming he'd never see them again. She's ready to change their dynamic and make sure he can't mistreat her anymore. But Sherlock ends up feeling guilty, and offers to do something unusual to make up for the hurt he caused. Brilliant Sherlock Holmes is as only as infallible as the people who believe in him. But before John grounded his feet more securely to Mother Earth, Molly had been instrumental into smoothing things down.

As both a doctor and a soldier, John knows bones are easily broken. Despite this he finds that, in a moment of anger, it's easy to forget how fragile Sherlock's might be until it's too late.

It is never a good idea to kidnap someone in order to get what you want. But to kidnap the British government himself, together with his little brother, and hurt said brother in the process? Definitely even less beneficial. And don't forget about a certain former army doctor, slowly starting to worry about his flatmate. - Two-shot.

Molly gives refuge to Sherlock for two years after the fall. One night he comes back drugged out of his mind and makes the biggest mistake of his life. The morning after brings a broken man who can't even look her in the eye. However, Molly stays strong, and they both must learn to move on together. While Sherlock and John are out chasing a typical criminal in the darkened streets of London, he catches the pair off guard and Sherlock is incidentally injured protecting John. Now it's a matter of time to get Sherlock help before everything goes black and John loses him for good.

In the aftermath of a firing incident Sherlock is gravely injured. John takes care of him and does his best to make their new life work. Sherlock/John. Hard-core bromance to a point where it could be safely regarded as pre-slash.

It makes sense, really, that he would remove that memory from his mind, but it stills hurts more than she would care to admit, that he could get rid of that night so easily while she lives with the consequences of it forever.

When Mycroft is kidnapped, somewhere in central Europe, Sherlock and John get on the very first plane which is vaguely heading in the right direction. Beta Read.

It was only when people actually saw John working as a physician that they began to understand: that it wasn't just about bullets and IEDs and trauma care under fire. That "doctor" actually covered a pretty wide field. And that John was bloody good at covering ground. 5 times Dr. Watson treated others and 1 time he treated himself.
