I married my husband at 21 after 4 months of dating, have been married happily for five years, finished college while married, then while pregnant, and then while raising a toddler, got hired as a Japanese interpreter/translator for a Toyota factory with no previous experience, and got the JET programme first try. That and I once beheaded a four-foot snake that our roomie's pet wolf had been eating a few feet away from our bedroom door.

I now live on the side of a volcano in Nagasaki.

So when I say that I fully intend to write more of my LotR, Rurouni Kenshin and Vampire Hunter D fanfiction...

I repeat:

Anything. Is. Possible.

And don't you let them tell you otherwise.

A black monolith appears in the form of an Acer laptop. The music from 2001: A Space Odyssey begins to play. Atop it stands a twenty-seven year old married fan girl, armed with a precocious Japanese speaking toddler in one hand and a scrub brush in another, bearing a Japanese dictionary and a half-finished elven cloak with pins in it beneath her arm. A diaper bag overflowing with Mercedes Lackey books and job applications lays strapped firmly to her back. Chocolate lembas hides in a pouch to her right and a Thranduil plushie lies trapped in a harness strapped to her waist.

SEMI-ORIGINAL 2001 POST:

I'm nuts! Let's just get that out of the way. I am (27 now), with the personality of a ten year old. Also I have no common sense, which shouldn't even really be called common sense seeing as it's so rare. I will warn everyone, my updates and reviews will be sketchy at best, due to the fact that one: I'm a mom with my fingers in everything from kanzashi/art/theater/voiceacting/singing to Japan-everything, and two: reality's reely a problem. It wants every bit of your attention, doesn't it? How selfish of it...

I love anything Japanese. I did a six-week homestay attending Kita High School in Matsue, Shimane prefecture, a six week stay everywhere imaginable and back to visit friends in Matsue the next summer, then finally a three month long stay teaching at an English camp in Nagasaki, meeting three new sets of host parents. (I cried so hard when I got my first letter saying I was finally going to Japan that my mom thought my best friend had died on a car wreck) XD
