Author has written 9 stories for Harry Potter. My name is Sally-Anne, I'm 16, I'm a girl and I'm from North-East England. I get obsessed with things very easily and will be obsessed with them (depending on how good they are and how much time I spend on them) for between a fortnight and several months, when I basically eat and sleep them, and then suddenly I will go completely off it and I won't do anything with it for about the same amount of time, so if my stories suddenly stop, that's probably why, and I'm very sorry to anyone who is actually reading them. This has now happened here, but I re-obsessed myself so now I'm restarting some of the stories: I've restarted Not So Much of a Fairytale and I'm considering a sequesl to Reactions, but I'm 99 sure I'm not going to even try to continue Lily Potter and the Triwizard Tournament. I've got several ideas for oneshots so I'll hopefully get some of those out soon. Most, if not all, of my fan fics will be on books because, first and foremost, I'm a reader. They'll also generally be Harry Potter based because I've read HP so often that I can easily think of things which haven't been written about by JKR, although I'm not saying it's certain I won't write anything else. For my Harry Potter stories, I try to write in canon, but only with the books: canon from interviews is too difficult to keep up with so I normally ignore it. As I said, I'm first and foremost a reader and that means that I would love to be a beta for someone. I'm on holiday all July and August so I'll have lots of freetime if anyone wants a Beta Reader. I betaed some stuff last year, and I really enjoy it - I get to suggest plots, read stories, correct things and give my opinion - it's all good - but I don't actually have to do the hard work of writing the story myself. So, if anyone's looking for a beta feel free to PM me about it because (depending on the story) I'd love to do it. As my personality goes, I'm very shy with people that I don't know when I'm talking to them face to face, but if people can't see me or hear me - ie, talking on msn - when I can get embarrassed etc. etc. without the other person knowing, I'm quite confident - I can hardly talk about anything, but if I'm writing then I can say exactly what I mean. I'd like to think I'm nice, but I can't really tell (but people don't go out of their way to avoid me - as far as I know). I'm generally quite clever and I'm definitely a bit of a perfectionist although I have to say I can be too impatient to get somethings done perfectly. I'm not bad at reviewing things (in my opinion) but I never know what to say. Basically, if you've got a review from me I'm probably trying to say it's absolutely fantastic and I love it, but I just can't think of the right words and so it sounds like I'm saying it's okay, but... But what I'm trying to say here is that I probably think it's great if I've taken time to review but I just don't know how to say that at the time of reviewing, if all of that makes any sense whatsoever. Okay? I'm going to list some favourites here so you can get an even better idea of me (if you really want to). Favourite: Book: so hard to decide... probably, at the moment, The Redemption of Althalus by David Eddings Food: Home-made pizza | |||||||
