![]() Author has written 9 stories for Death Note. (2/15/10) Announcement! As some of you may have noticed, or not noticed, whatever, I have not updated anything in a while. I would like to say I'm sorry only because I have not updated my one series in a long time (and it was sooo close to being finished too) and that's not fair to you. Unfortunately though, this is going to stay like that for a while. I have currently lost my will to write, it feels to much like a chore, and I feel that if I try to write something then it would be forced making it turn into shit, and that just wouldn't be fair at all. I'm sure most of you could understand how that feels when you lose the will to do something that you love, but to be honest I just can't bring myself to write anymore (hell my last two updates were shit too). For the past month or so I've just been really down and felt like shit. I'm not sure why, but I do. So, once again I apologize. I don't plan to give up writing anytime soon (I've been trying to write down a few things in some of my better moods) but as of right now, I'm officially on a hiatus. Sorry. OoOoOoO "I want to tell you guys a story, and I tell this to all my students every year since it happened. Now, you all know that when we start a new set of notes I ask you you label the paper 'Music' and to center it from left to right. Further in the year, somewhere around the second; third quarter, I kindly asked my students to label that special-little five letter word for music on their sheet of paper and to center it. And as I was walking around, I stopped and looked at this little boy's paper. And I must of stared at it for a good five minutes before I asked him, 'What is it that you wrote on the top of your paper?' and he answered, 'Exactly what you said to do, I labeled my notes page with the special-little five letter word for music.' And I swear to you kids, I was speechless, I-I couldn't think of anything to say to him. And do you wanna know what he wrote on the top of his paper? He wrote five little letters: 'A-N-G-E-L'. He wrote 'Angel', and all I ask of you, children, is to keep an open mind in my music class just like that little boy did, and you'll pass my class with flying colors with an experience to match." -- This story was told to me by the best music teacher I ever (and probably will ever) had. For three years of my life I had the pleasure of having this man as my teacher, and hearing this story so many times-- Mr. O'Boyle |
