![]() Ahoy Mates!! My name is Jennifer and I'm roughly around the ages of born and death...roughly added up and caluclated using the sun and old maps and what have you...that would make me near or about 28. And, even though that may be a little old to be channeling work into forms known to many as Fanfics...I just can't help me little self, luvs :) I live in a little small town on the very southeastern part of kentucky and I work in a pittly little job as a factory worker. And when I'm not working I'm writing and if I'm not writing you'll see me behind the piano or keyboard banging away at a small attempt at making music. I ABSOLUTLY LOVE the Pirate trilogy with the third one being my absolute fave. I find that the saddest part in AWE is also considered to many to be the funniest. I think, though, that the whole scene with the mulitple Jacks...though it is surely the best eye candy a buck fifty can buy...is also the scene where we see Jack just simply crumble. Every part of his mind seems to unhinge while in the locker and through out the whole movie, Jack is really never the same. I tend to write my fics in an angsty type of manner. And though I fight to keep Jack strong, I find there's nothing wrong with him crumbling once and a while. Jack is someone I would like to cuddle and tell him everythings alright (especially after watching AWE..omg...you could feel so bad for him). I do like the Sparrbeth story lines as long as there is a good plot to go with it. Stories that begin with them already as a couple and no back ground story as to how they came together...well...that just urks me. I do like stories that show more of Gibbs and Jack as a father/son duo. Afterall, every good pirate needs a drinking buddy, right? Marysues are a big time NO NO!! That's just awful writing to me...and a big ego trip for their authors. Other than the Pirates of the Caribbean...there are many other movies I find very entertaining. Such as: Edward Scissorhands, Whats eating Gilbert Grape, Dead Man, The Libertine, Blow, Sleepy Hollow, Duan Juan DeMarco, Secret Window, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, From Hell, Thrity Days of Night, Shrek 1-3, Inuyasha 1-4 (and the entire series for that matter), Runnin' Down a Dream and so many others it's so hard to recall them all...but I think you get the general idea. I'm also a big toy collector, collecting things from Barbie to My little Pony and anything that I adored as a child growing up in the eighties. I also love coal mining equipment and stickers as most of my family have worked in the mines and some lost their lives for their trouble. To me, it's sort of like paying homage to my family and carrying on their legacy long after they've left their mark in the earth. I love my mountain heritage and long for the days of the "old" ways. I have an extreme soft place in my heart for anything antique. Especially old camaras and projectors. Don't know why...just can't seem to pass these little darlings up. So, pretty much, that's me in a nut shell. Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers and Toad the Wet Sprocket complete the circle. You may be shocked to know that I'm not a pill head or a drug user of any shape or form which is odd considering where I'm from and the reputation it has...which would explain why I'm still HAPPILY single. Not settling for second rate...not this gal!! And I encourage all you youngsters to do the same!! Don't follow the footprints in the snow...journey off to find your own way and make a few tracks of your own!! My story "To Hell and Back" will be updated shortly...so sorry for the long hiatus. The chapter is near complete (was complete until my computer decided to do a funny little thing and crash...thus losing all my chapters and sending me into a state of p'd off I've yet to ever experience again) and I'm hoping to have it up sometime within the next week...don't give up on me yet darlin's...way too much to tell in this story...just give me a moment :) |
