Okay..about me. My name is Kaitie, or Kaitlyn, or Shar're, or GIR, or my annoying sister, depending on who you ask. (Oh my god, I just spelled my full name wrong.) My immediate family consists of my single mother and three brothers. Most of the rest of my family is mormon, so my veiws on life are kind shunned. Thus, I don't really share them.

My writing is my escape. Reading doesn't cut it, because nothing I've found reflects my personality. So, I write. I like happy endings that come after angst -rape, loss of loved one, ect.- because I'm searching for that ending myself. I'm a sucker for torture if the recovery, both physical and emotional, is included.

I like Fanfiction because it allows people to improve their writing. Looking back, my own stories have improved. I appreciate the constructive criticism I've recived over the year I've been on here.

I live in Idaho, the Gem State, "gem of the mountains". It is the only place in the world besides India you can find six-pointed star garnets. We here in Idaho Falls have the largest display of fireworks on the 4th of July west of the Mississippi River. The scenery? You have to see it.

My penname, Shar're from Abydos, is derived from Sha're, a character in Stargate SG-1, the best TV series I have ever encountered.

Inspiration: My family, for supporting me; my friends, for getting past my 'now no one can hurt me' shield and unleashing the insanity within; you, dear author, for coaxing me to share my writings with the world; and last, but certainly not least, Calli Weaver. Cal, you planted the idea for my first story, and are the one who started it all. Never stop drawing, my friend.

I do not flame. Flaming is just wrong. I leave constructive critisism, I tell you what can change to make a better story that flows right, but I DONT FLAME! I don't get the point of flaming, It attacks self-esteem, making the author/authoress feel like they can't write. Everyone makes mistakes, even the flamers. The fanfiction code thing even says 'Everyone here is an aspiring writer. Respect your fellow members and lend a helping a hand when they need it.' See that? Everyone is an aspiring writer, not a professional. And if you don't like the plotline, DON'T READ THE STORY! If you agree, you can copy and paste this rant. It's up to you.

I must rant. This is about semi-colons. Several profiles have things saying semi-colons are useless symbols when they're very important tools. Just because you don't know how to use it doesn't mean it's not worth using! I have read profiles for 14-year-olds to college students saying semi-colons are totally worthless. I'M 12 AND I KNOW HOW USEFUL THEY ARE! HOW SAD IS THAT? Holy Irk people. Learn to use it, then judge it. -walks away muttering about about misinformation-

Yes, another rant. Have you ever noticed a lot of writers don't make new paragraphs when another character is speaking? It annoys the hell out of me. If you just relized you're the one that does this, please fix it. For my sanity.
