Caught in the Potions classroom when Snape returns from a dangerous Death Eater meeting, Hermione is terrified until she sees he's wounded and in need of her help. Knowing she should leave before he realises her crush, but unable when he needs her, Hermione patches him up and is only too happy to show him how grateful she is for all he sacrifices.

The war is over and life goes on. But for two people it seems that everything stays mostly the same. Hermione Granger is still a know-it-all, back at school and seemingly in her element. Severus Snape survived and has taken up residence in the Potion's classroom once more. She hides behind her books and he hides behind his sneer and his wit. What if they found each other?

The trio go back to Hogwarts for their 8th Year. Hermione takes on a new and particularly challenging class run by Professor Snape. He pushes her in ways she could never imagine.
