I had a bad case of Whump-itis last weekend and this is the result. It is Steve whump with not much plot, but the entire team is around for support.

Grace was always the "apple of her father's eye", somewhere along the way those innocent eyes and brave attitude wormed its way into the hearts of the rest of Five-0. When a car accident turns out to be not so "accidental" and Danny is left an emotional wreck even though Grace will be okay; Steve enlists a team of SEALS to make sure those responsible pay for what they've done.

Somebody wants Steve out of the way, and the attention of Five-0 focused elsewhere. Now why would that be? And where the heck have they taken Steve! - A story which throws up many puzzles, has Danny reaching the outer edge of his sanity, and finally boils down to one thing: loyalty!

Speeding towards a crime scene, Steve McGarrett kept his eyes on the small, winding road and look-out for oncoming traffic. If only he had eyes in the side of his head. - Whump/Recovery/Friendship - Originally a one-shot which was developed into a full story by popular demand.

Steve, Danny, Catherine and Grace head over to the mainland for a vacation. Danny is struggling with Grace's direction in life and seeks Steve's help in trying to talk her around. Steve believes that Danny is over reacting, as usual, but agrees to help him out. As Steve and Grace spend some time together, disaster strikes leaving him fighting to save Grace no matter what the cost.

Steve never believed his self sacrificing ways could have consequences to the family around him. Mostly he thought he could take risks because he was the only one he was putting in danger. A potentially life changing injury to his partner has a certain Navy SEAL reevaluating how he does things and, even if Danny will be okay soon, sets the man on a path of revenge.

Post-episode 5x07. They find Steve and get him out of that hellish room, but that is just the beginning.

It's not the uniform that matters, it's the people who wear them. It's the survivors and the fighters and those who believe in the right side of the law. Five-0 started their case with a body in uniform; two members end it with a hail-Mary chance at survival with hunters right on their heels. Hunters who are interested in something much more intelligent than wild boars...

It's true, he does get car sick when he's not driving... but why?

Danny wasn't sure how much more his partner could take. Steve was the strong one. Steve was the one who lived by the code "fear is a state of mind." Well, if that was the case, Danny's state of mind was off the charts because the only thing ruling it right now was fear; an overwhelming sense that Steve had finally reached the breaking point. This story takes place after Steve falls and will basically deal with what happens afterward. The case of the dead man will be addressed, but is inconsequential to the fic which is very H/C with Danny and steve caught in a storm.
