A heady flush of pleasure and anticipation stole across her skin as he started to relax, his long day of hunting finally seeming to catch up with him as thin streams of warm water beaded down the jut of his hips. She adored him like this, in the scant moments before the mask started to dissolve - when he finally let his guard down and allowed himself to just sit back and enjoy it.

This fic is a re-write of Daryl's scenes from Inmates, Still and Alone to show how things would have been different if Carol was with him. These episodes were difficult for many Carylers, not only because Carol wasn't there but because Daryl was very OOC. I hope to rectify that and indulge my fellow Carylers with a taste of what we would have preferred to happen.

Daryl moves to the small town of Sweet Junction with his brother in an attempt to start fresh, when he gets there, though, he never expects the turn that his life is going to take.
