A slow burn love/romance story between Daryl and Beth, set in the prison. This pairing had a lot to offer, Beth bringing light to Daryl's dark world whilst he draws out her inner strength. When her dreams of being a rockstar fall flat, Beth comes back to her sleepy hometown. Daryl's dog failed to make the grade at guide dog school and instead of leaving him to an uncertain future Daryl becomes a reluctant dog owner. They meet in the most unexpected way and maybe Beth's on to something when she says it's a sign.

If Beth had NOT been kidnapped and Daryl and she had stayed on the road together: On the road, searching for safety, searching for community, keeping an eye out for their dispersed group, Daryl and Beth make a go of it as best they can, becoming a solid unit of two. Encountering both the living and the dead, they must fight not only for survival but for faith the fight is worth it.

We all know what happened in "Alone" after Daryl and Beth are cut off during an intimate conversation at the kitchen table, but what would have happened if Daryl didn't open the door? This story is on-going and follows the plot of the show very closely, however, events have been tweaked based on how I think the storyline would have progressed with Beth being alive.

In Recapitulation there are several references to a conversation between Daryl and Herschel before the fall of the prison. Please don't ask me to is a one shot Recapitulation prequel that addresses this conversation, what lead up to it, and the outcome with an added bonus at the end.

So, popular demand has convinced me to make this one shot it's own story. Of course it's a Beth/Daryl Story, but with a bit of a twist! Like all my stories to be safe I am going to rate it M, my stories do tend to be very mature with sex scenes, if that's not your thing, you won't won't to read them!
