Screen Name: "Lethe Erisdottir." Rationale: The word 'lethe' in Classical Greek means, among other things, 'concealment.' Good for a screen name, right? Lethe is also a very minor goddess in the Greek pantheon, the goddess of forgetfulness and oblivion. Sounds restful. (I don't get enough sleep). And Lethe happens to be the daughter of Eris (If you're an FFVII devotee, I know what you're thinking, but no relation. Still, get this - Eris is the goddess of strife and discord. Whoa.) Anyway, that got me to Erisdottir. Why I used the Nordic naming tradition, I couldn't tell ya; I'm not Nordic. Not Greek either. Hey, I just needed a name, yo.

BTW, Lethe (aka Oblivion) has some pretty awesome siblings, among them Ponos (Toil), Limos (Starvation), the Algea (Pains), the Hysminai (Fightings), the Phonoi (Murders), Dysnomia (Lawlessness), Ate (Ruin), and it only gets worse from there. Quite the family Christmas, I'm guessing. And I'm betting nobody messed with her on the schoolyard, either. Not with those brothers and sisters to back her up.

So, anyway if I ever do get up the nerve to post anything for R&R, you might want to consider any negative criticisms carefully, in light of the family and all. (Juuust kidding. Criticism is welcome. Really. No, REALLY.)

19 November 2010 Well, here goes. Just added a short little piece relating to Reno. Got to start somewhere, right? Turns out for me, Reno is a bit dark. A bit? Well, hah, you be the judge.

17 December 2010 Hoo, I'm slow. Posting the start of a collection of small (even tiny) pieces about FFVII characters. Fishing around for direction, I suppose. Using song titles as prompts mostly, but also some movies.

30 January 2011 Okay, so, Happy New Year. Only a month late, not so bad. Just posted another Reno short story, and added a few flash-fics to the Songs in the Dark collection. People are reading, I can tell from stats, but comments (good, bad, indifferent) would be great. If this stuff is really bad, let me know, I'll fix it. Or try something different. Or something. Feed the writer, people!
