Self-description: Hi, my name is Joan (well, translated into English anyway) and I’m from the slightly smaller country of Romania.

I believe that there’s something unique about each and every one of us, though to my endless sadness I am a rather normal girl.

I like literature and although I have some favorite authors, there’s no one I dislike. I respect each artist simple for the fact that they have the will to create. And I believe that we as readers, listeners and viewers have something worthy to gain from each and every one of them.

Writing is something I’m not an expert of. Actually I really suck at it, but I’m willing to work harder. Hope this will be a chance to become better and extend my horizon.

Our life’s too short to spend it doing the same thing day after day, so I try to discover and learn as many things as I can, and this is one of them.

Personal note: O.k. I really have a dilemma. If swine flu isn't transmitted from pig to man, then why does one call it a pig flu? What: is it transmitted from man- pig to man- pig, or from pig- man to pig- man?:))

Personal thoughts:

One should be independent; independent of the society, of their rules and norms, of their views. Believe in your thoughts; believe in your opinions, in your dreams, in yourself. Help the others when needed, even though you won’t be handled the same. Don’t be like the others. When the lights turn off and the curtain rises, be the one who stands up and leaves the theater. Just because they like acting their life, doesn’t mean you have to.
