Legolas returns to Greenwood briefly after the War of the Ring to his home before returning to Gondor for Arwen and Aragorn's wedding. With the world now at peace, he finally gets the courage to act on his long-held feelings for a friend. Unfortunately for everybody involved, just as things are going perfectly an elf driven to madness by darkness and grief threatens everything.

Celedë, daughter of Elrond, has her own reasons for joining the Fellowship of the Ring, despite the price she knows she must pay in the end. At best, Celedë will ensure her sister Arwen's happiness with Aragorn. At worst, all will be lost and Middle Earth will fall to evil.
