A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit
some friends one
evening
and time passed quickly as each shared
their
various experiences of the past year.

She ended up staying longer than
planned,
and
had to walk home alone. She wasn't
afraid
because it was a small town and she lived
only
a
few blocks away.

As she walked along under the tall elm
trees,
Diane asked God to keep her safe from
harm
and
danger.

When she reached the alley, which was a

cut to her house, she decided to take it.

However, halfway down the alley she

man standing at the end as though he

The officer thanked Diane for her bravery

asked if there was anything they could do

attacked

When the policeman asked him, he

two tall men walking on either side of

I woke up in the mornig

The sun ha not come up

I walked towards the kitchen

Where I heard sobs

I opened the door to see my mother

She had bruises on her face and arms

She had tears running down her face

'Mom' I say 'are you okay'

She nods her head and says 'I'm fine'

But I know she's not

And I know who did this to her

It was James, the man she dates

I try to tell her to let him go

That he's not good enough

That a man who hits a woman

Isn't a really a man at all

He's a cowad

But she saids it's not his falt It's hers

That she shouldn't have angered him

I just nod my head and walk ut

I woke up in the middle of the night

To souds in the room next door

I know who and what it is

It's James

I run out of my room to my moms

I stop in shock at what I see

My mom on tefloor with blood all over

James standing over with a look of anger

'MOMMY!' I scream and run over

'What did you do!?' I yell at James

I check for a pulse

There isn't one

She's gone

I look towards James to see him trying to leave

But I couldn't let that happen

I grab the fallen gun from under the bed

And soot

He falls to the floor, Dead

suddenly the front door bangs pen

And in comes the police

All because my mom couldn't let him go

Falling Apart

There is a family of three
Supposedly living happily

That's what it seems

But that family is falling apart

The little girl is about 9

Hiding in a corner of her room

Listening to the yells of her parents

Finally the front door slams shut

The little girl sits there crying her eyes out

Her parents have been fighting so much

And evertime they do, the girl goes to the corner and cries

She leans against the wall for a nap

To the little girl it felt like only 10 minutes she had slept

But in reality it was 2 hours

The young childe woke up to screaming

She walked over to the door and opened it

Her eyes widened at what she saw

Her dad had a suitcase and was walking towards the door

While her mom was screaming 'GET OUT AND DON'T COME BACK!'

Her dad reached the door and opened it, he was about to leave when...

'DADDY!' the little girl screamed and ran over

'Don't leave please! I'll do better, I'll do anything just please don't leave!'

She begged with tears running down her face

Her dad just gave her a hug and a kiss, then left

The child fell down to her knees and cried and cried and cried

she felt her mother touch her but she brushed her off

And ran to her room

But before she closed the door ahe screamed 3 words

'I HATE YOU!'

And the door slammed shut

The little girl never saw her father again

she barely talked to her mother at all

The chlid lost everything she cared for when her walked out

There is a family of three

Supposedly living happily
