Hello, I am Tullay, a stereotypical white n' nerdy guy. I don't really come back here to FFnet that often, but I maintain this account for... reasons. I'm sure I have them. (if nothing else, the massive cache of favorited stories?) It's linked to my email, but I go to other sites for my fandom needs now. I may or may not finish the things I have left here. I may or may not allow this account to survive to the end of 2012.

I like plotty video games, computers, math (functions for the win!), and Dungeons and Dragons.

I don't believe in anger as an emotion. I believe in it as a response. For example, if you insult my friends, that hurts them and I feel bad because they feel bad. Some people get angry. I put infinite loop processes on people's computers.

I like gay people, as I am one of them.

I will consider any pairing in any fandom, but I don't like it when it is out of character or poorly edited. In order to win me to your side of the ship war, send me something that shows the author takes more than a superficial pride in their work. Also, I like to be familiar with the fandom before I read in it.

A NOTE TO PEOPLE WHO WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO ALIEN SENSES: Honestly, this started as a contest between me and a friend of mine to see if I could get her sexually frustrated. I lost this contest. By a lot. Time passed. No new ideas presented themselves. I might eventually rewrite the ending so that it's like this bittersweet "what could have been" type thing, and just Deux Ex Machina them back (drugs in the medical bay or something?) but it's far more likely that the story will lay dormant and unfinished. However, if someone wanted to step up and co-author this, maybe turn it into a round robin, or something, I wouldn't be opposed. In short: The story is pretty much orphaned. Passively in market for beta and/or co author.

House, MD

House/Wilson (loved Defensive Strategies by Milkshake Butterfly)

I pretty much left the House fandom in 2009/10. It had been coming for a while. My affections for the show had been dimming throughout season five and the ship wars started getting in the way of fic, then I decided to leave when someone made a comment about an absolutely terrible fic that I wrote, essentially calling me out on it being a terrible fic. I reacted in a sarcastic way mostly because the fic was pretty intentional bad!fic, but you know what? I regret it. I regret being in a situation where I didn't love my fandom anymore and all it took was one bad comment. I wish I could go back and give this commenter a hug or something because as absolutely pathetic as it is, my life revolved around the House fandom for years, plural, and this person got me to see that it was unhealthy, just by being the last straw and being around the same time I left the fandom. Thank you poster, you changed my life.

Morrowind

Sheogorath/Azura- apparently Daedra can pick whatever form they like, so that means I'm free to do a non-crackish genderfuck if I like. How fun is that?

Harry Potter

Remus/Sirius (A fic called "All Through the Night" by Casira pretty much defines my love for this couple, and "The Oracle of Gryffindor" was a hoot. Moonypad's "A Second Chance" is a fic that I absolutely adore from this ship, although I always lose the link.)

Severus/Harry ( I once read something good in this ship. I used to hate the idea of it, and I once made a rude comment to a shipper in it. I'm sorry, shipper. I regret that now, because I have seen what good there can be in it. This ship showed me that, in the hands of a good writer, anything can happen)

I almost want to take off the Harry Potter stuff because I'm not even in the fandom anymore. I'm not in the House fandom either, but both have had effects on my life through things I regret. I think it might be wishful thinking that these specific people will ever see that they made me a better person, but for now I'm going to leave it up.

Legend of Zelda

Link/Dark Link (Soul Shadow is without question the best fic I've read in this ship, in my opinion)

Link/Shiek (in the AU of Sheik being his own person. I've read some really good stuff for this as well, especially one where Shiek and Link led an army on Hyrule Castle, and Zelda was the girlfriend of the Gerudo Queen... I wish I could find it now :EDIT: It is Soul Mates, I believe, by andrhats)

Link/Zelda- but only a Zelda with serious identity problems. This is one of the few pairings I prefer to have loads of angst, ha ha.

Avatar: the Last Aribender

Sokka/Zuko. Dear lord, I can never seem to put it down. There was one where Sokka and Zuko switched bodies that was unfinished once and I really wanted to see if it ever turned into slash (EDIT: In His Shoes by AvacadoLove), and then there was another one that WAS slash and Sokka was an ambassador to the Fire Nation that was just so much WIN(EDIT: Borderlines by Scuttlebutt Inc, and it has a sequel Negotiation) and then the third that immediately comes to mind is one where Zuko and Sokka end up sleeping together because Sokka can't sleep if Zuko is awake... I need to find these again because they are awesome.

Aang/Zuko didn't really sail the ship but there was one story (I think it was called Chang Ai?) where Zuko was the reincarnated spirit of the Avatar's lover that was so awesome...

Katara/Zuko- My introduction to fanfiction was a friend who would read this to me over the phone at night. The ramifications of this would not become apparent until a year or two later, when I entered the House fandom. When I returned to the ATLA fandom, I discovered that Sokka/Zuko existed, and sort of got off this ship forever.

The Road To El Dorado

Miguel/Tulio- This was canon. Originally. I have proof. Executive meddling wrecked it and Chel was promoted from Extra to Love Interest. "Out of the City" by Grim Lupine is the only fic I think that accurately describes what Chel's role really is.

Rosario Vampire

All the stories involving Tsukune/Moka and especially of the Involuntary Shapeshifting or Turning Into A Vampire variety.

Invader Zim

Dib/Zim. Just, alien sex. I like "Consumed: Always" by HettyBobCat

Merlin

Arthur/Merlin is my main ship here. "Ties That Bind" by shadowglove is a masterpiece. No other word for it. There's also "Muse" by I.V. Green and "You'll be in My Heart" by arirawrs- they define the love I have of this fandom that "Ties That Bind" didn't cover.

Also, it may just be me, since to my knowledge I've never been exposed to the Arthurian legends outside of the animated motion picture The Sword In The Stone when I was a kid, and I've only been able to see the first season of this show, but there seems to be better chemistry between Arthur and Merlin. As opposed with Gwen and Arthur, who seem a little Strangled By The Red String in Le (La?) Mort D'Arthur or whatever that episode is called. (Why so French?) I went to the Tropes page and apparently it gets better. Apparently the original legend has Guinevere and Arthur as the official pairing. IDK, I thought that Gwen and Lancelot would be better together (THEY ACTUALLY HAD A FEW SCENES TOGETHER, FOR ONE POINT.) I don't think that Arthur and Gwen had ever more than crossed paths until Arthur got whacked by the Questing Beast, and I highly doubt that cleaning him up in between bouts of delirium and bodily functions is conducive to a romantic relationship. But that's just me. And for another thing, am I the only person who doesn't think Uther Pendragon is a complete monster? Sure, he does a lot of bad stuff. For the time, he's not that bad. His wife died as a direct result of interference by magic. Yes, he loves Arthur to pieces, but he feels the loss of someone he loved very much every day, and probably wants to save his people, who he swore to protect, from feeling the same loss. You know what? The ends do not justify the means, but I, for one, see where he's coming from. /rant
