![]() Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter. 3/01/08 Hey, I'm Joyous Abandonment! Here's some of the ships I visit more frequently... Harry Potter: James/Lily Severus/Lily Blaise/Hermione Hermione/Draco Hermione/Severus Hermione/Sirius!! Hermione/Oliver Wood Hermione/ Harry Ginny/Draco Ginny/Harry Harry/Pansy Harry/Luna Ron/Pansy Ron/Luna Gilmore Girls: Rory/Finn! Rory/Jess Occasionally Rory/Logan, it depends on the quality of the writing. Luke/Lorelei Though there's probably more than that, those are what comes to mind at the moment, so I'll leave it at that. I enjoy reviewing Novel fan fictions most, because there are more ways to look at the story. If the author stretched it out too much, or if it progressed too quickly. The vocabulary of the author also effects the story greatly, along with the grammar, and spelling. Teachers never tire of grammatical lessons for a reason! Anyway, if you have read this entire profile, I thank you, and hopefully you'll take a look at my favorite stories. As I continue, I'll start putting my most recent reads on here. 3/02/08 I'll start out with Gilmore Girls. I recently re-read a spectacular fic called Turn My Way. It's a PDLD, otherwise known as Finn/Rory. I personally thought it was a creative story, with excellent portrayal of the characters, with humorous and witty dialogue. I definitely recommend it, and I hope you'll choose to read it. Now we're on to Harry Potter. Back To The Past, Away From The Present is a Severus/Hermione, by Lady Of Elysion. If you find the pairing strange, or immoral, this story will definitely change your mind. Though it is a time-travel fic, and those can be difficult to pull off, considering they have to have extreme character development, the author did a thorough job of making it as realistic as possible. It's not too long, or stretched out, but it's not rushed either, and it definitely kept me enthralled. Please consider reading it. Bed of Roses is a Sirius/Hermione fic, by moonyNZ. It's very long, and at times you may get impatient, if you have a short attention span, but it's an amazing piece of writing. I enjoyed it immensely, though it took some time to finish. If you are offended by sexual content, please don't bother reading, then flaming. This story was absolutely fantastic, and it will have many readers on the edge of their seats. Ya Had A Bad Day is a Psych fic, with some Juliet/Shawn, by moogsthewriter. It's exciting, and heart-stopping at times. If you're like me, you'll practically cry at some of the Shawn Spencer whumpage. The descriptions were fantastic, and I think the author did a fantastic job with the characters, never once being OOC. PostWar Relations is another HP fic. It's Draco/Hermione, and unbelievably close to perfect. Crystalcloud did an amazing job staying as close to the character's dispositions as possible. Though at times it moved too fast, or too slow, I enjoyed it, and I believe you will too. Help, by Serpent of Slytherin is a Oliver/Hermione fic. It may offend some readers, as it has some very descriptive scenes of abuse, but it is one of my favorite fan fictions. This story has everything you can ask for, the damsel in distress, the knight in shining armor, and of course, a man with an accent! This is a story I recommend to anyone willing to read, as it had me on the edge of my seat, begging for more. Roommates, by rinny08, is a Charlie/Hermione story. Now, before I read this fic this was not a a ship I read often, but I found that after reading this, I was hooked. This story is almost too good to be true. I absolutely loved it. It was unique, but had some of the cliches that you just can't get enough of. I recommend to all, literally, as I assume no one could dislike it. Who Woulda Thunk It, is a George/Hermione, by jessebelle. This story was fantastic, and the plot's twists and turns left me dizzy. However, it was not confusing, just surprising. It made me think, and it made me wonder. I enjoyed guessing what was coming next, and never being right. It was creative, and unique, a definite recommendation. 3/19/08 I just recently read In Your Dreams, a HG/SS story, and was blown away by duj's writing. It was a slower process than usual to get into the romantic material, but I never got bored. It was outstanding. It was dramatic, without being overly so. Severus Snape was impressively in character, yet still taking on a gentler tone in some parts. It definitely stood out to me. A prominent piece of writing I will not soon forget! 3/28/08 I just read Little Looks Between A Gryffindor and a Slytherin, by Catherine or Cate. I was blown away. This story was both creative, and imaginative. The author summed up a long period of time perfectly, not rushed, not stretched. The Epilogue was adorable, yet not too mushy, making it believable. A spectacular oneshot, I would recommend to anyone. |
