"I'll destroy her," rings in his ears and he's shocked by how shamed he is he ever said those words. He'd meant them, oh how he'd meant them. Rey and Kylo's continued conversations after their fight with Snoke lead them to realizations about themselves, each other, and the Force that they never anticipated - first among them being that everything is much more complicated than they wish it was. Slow burn.

She is tinkering with droids again. He feels her elation as she finds the right point on the circuit, watches the droid whir to life, bleeping its gratitude. She has a whole little family of them now. He is losing himself in her and he knows he needs to stop. Kylo Ren is Bound to Rey and hides from her, never revealing himself, quietly driving himself mad with her light.
