Seems I’d better write one of these, by way of explanation.

First, I’ve been writing for many years, fanfic among other things – Lord of the Rings (a great love of mine) and one other fandom. I just never thought of publishing those stories, certainly not the LotR fanfics, because there are so many Lord of the Rings stories that it seemed rather pointless to add to them. Nobody would read them, I’d just be adding to the rather frightening amount of verbiage that is ff.net’s Lord of the Rings section. To be honest, I uploaded Written in Stone mainly for the purpose of directing the folks from Stories of Arda towards it – once I had finally decided on getting an account after all!

Writing Kingdom of Heaven stories came as a bit of a surprise. I never expected to add a third fandom to my repertoire, and this was about the last thing I was prepared for – that this infernal movie (a very beautiful and very flawed movie) would haunt me the way it did. On the other hand, it is full of wonderful, fascinating people. And as there are few Kingdom of Heaven stories around I’ll happily publish what I’ve written.

Those Kingdom of Heaven stories are developing into a small cycle. I’m not writing them in chronological order, so, just to be helpful, the chronological order so far is this:
