A shadow from Sherlock's past forces the boys to reunite after the fall. Set directly after Reichenbach. John is not as unknowing as Mycroft thought, and not as easy to break as Moran thought. Sherlock might not be as unaffected by this caring thing as he thought himself.

One day Lestrade discovers a small homeless boy named Sherlock, living down in the dark of the tunnels beneath London with his protector and friend, John. Slowly Lestrade learns of the sad life the two have lived so far and how they came to be alone in the world. And the three must band together not only to hide from the shadows of the past but the future as well.

A group bent on revenge comes to 221B, but instead of finding Sherlock, they find John. Now, left with no clues but a blood-splattered flat, Sherlock races to save John before it's too late.

John is a telepath. Between trying to save lives, catch criminals and keep his gift from Sherlock, he's getting worn down. Rating might go up. Slash is eventual.

Sherlock is taken by Moriarty, and when he's found he's going to need John more than ever as he makes his way slowly back to normality. Contains violence, strong language, angst, whump, etc Set just after TGG
