This story will follow Mrs Hughes and Mr Carson after the Series 5 Christmas Special, taking the story forward following Mr Carson's enchanting proposal of marriage. Other characters will feature as we see how those Downstairs and Upstairs react to the engagement x

Innocent and Hobson have the girlie chat we'd all love to see them have on the show. And the blanks to the Lewis/ Robson relationship are filled in.

"I suppose you never wasted a chance" He realises quickly that she knows exactly what chances he had wasted over the years, could see it in her expression, in those eyes that held him captive so easily. All those opportunities wasted and squandered to be regretted late at night when he lay alone in his bed with only regrets and shadows to keep him company.

Mr. Carson tells Mrs. Hughes that he's made the decision to leave Downton Abbey to work at Haxby Park for Lady Mary. Starts with his thoughts during and after that brief conversation, and continues beyond that evening. Story will go AU at some point as changes occur in the relationship between Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes. No S4 spoilers. Winner of a Highclere Award (2014).

A modern AU in which Charles and Elsie take tentative steps toward friendship and love, aided by Beryl Patmore and (unwittingly) Richard Clarkson. This is a crossover fic with A Fine Romance, the wonderful BBC series with Judi Dench and Michael Williams.

November 1921- An AU series 4. Sequel to Moving Forward- With the house in mourning, Charles and Elsie consider life together and retirement. How will the rest of Downton be affected? Lots of Cora and Robert and Mary as well. Might go T rating later, but will start out mild.

An AU which imagines that Richard and Isobel might have met before the start of Series 1, when they were working as part of the army's medical corps during the Boer War, and had an affair. The plot will follow that of Series 1, but not closely. This story will pay major homage to The English Patient.
