DOWN WITH TYSON X KAI PAIRINGS!
Teen Titans:
1. BEASTBOY X TERRA (Here comes the rant:
Look I know LOADS of people are against this pairings, and most of them are Terra haters. I don't care if you hate Terra, Beastboy or even the whole show this pairing is damn well important and is probably the most important pairing I will ever list in any show!
Terra has this effect on Beast Boy that pushes him. It takes BB's comedian character, and puts some REAL depth behind him, more than any other character on the show. He is one of the only three characters in anything that I believe have depth, and he's the odd one out of them. Vegeta (DBZ) has so much depth because of his pride, his strength of will and utter determination. He sacrifices himself for himself. He would not have died trying to kill Buu if he did not think he would go to heaven. The only other person he shows affection for is his son, Trunks. He is obsessive to the point of insanity to be the best and yet he never will be. Goku will ALWAYS be better. The second character is Seto Kaiba (YGO) for litteraly the same reasons, he only does things for his younger brother and himself. He wants to be the best yet never will but he still tries to sacrifice everything for it.
But BB is so different, he has the most character and yet he is classed as a Cartoon character not an Anime! He is the character with the most depth ever. Let me explain - Beast boy is the comic relief guy with no brain but no one know's what lies under that, we know more about Robin and Raven (in my opinion the most outwardly reclusive characters than) than we know about BB. Sure he can look at the bright side of everything, but how? Can you? I know I can't. I know a lot of people who beleive that's all he is, with no character except for crap jokes and an innocent naivety but how does he get a innocent naivety when he's exposed to so much violence and evil and heart ache and hate every day! There must be something under the charade. So let's work from the beginning:
At the start of teen titans everyone over looks the lil green guy. He doesn't particularly seem to be a very good fighter and all he does is mess everything up and annoy the rest of the team. The first episodes discount BB focusing other characters such as:
Cyborg + Robin Divide and Conquer
Starfire Sisters
The introduction of Slade Final Exam
All the Titans + Slade Forces of Nature
Cyborg Sum of his Parts
Raven Nevermore
Starfire + Raven Switched
And so on, I would say the first episode to focus entirely on beast boy is 'Every Dog Has His Day' the Second episode of the Second series and the 15th Episode overall but this episode is often discounted as a throwaway episode in reviews such as:
"Occasionally you get an episode of a show that really has nothing to do with anything else you've seen in it before--Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League...they've all done it. Some will argue that the episode in the first season, "Mad Mod" is the Titan's "irrelevant" episode--I may agree with that, but I also have to say this one is a strong contender too.

Season Two is often classed as the Terra Series but it also has alot of Beast boy in and is where almost litteraly there entire relationship lies. In the first episode with Terra we see Beastboy acting like his usually self. 'Boy Beast - no - Bath Boot - no - eep' but by the end of the episode we can see him slowly becoming more and more in touch with emotions. He swears to keep Terra's secret and immediatly becomes her closest friend out of all the titans. He is the one Terra thanks for helping her through the assault corse. He is the only one who checks on her in the night only to discover her gone. He finds Terra with Slade and calms her down easily in a very un-beast boy like manner. He is the one she immediatly blames for telling, not giving thought to any other option. He is the one she runs away from. He is the one she seems so distraught over accidentally hurting. He is the only one to seem onwardly effected when she leaves.
Five episodes later Terra returns and immediatly there is a charge for her affection between Starfire the over excited friendship freak and Beastboy, the boy with the crush. This episodes focuses on Terra being accepted rather than BB and Terra's relationship though he does enter quite a few of her conversations either as a topic or person.
Later in Betrayal we see the full extent of there relationship. Beastboy gives Terra a gift and asks her out. Terra declines but then asks him out for a sooner date wanting him to avoid being attacked at the tower. Beastboy says he does trust her although he does not know she has already betrayed the titans to Slade. Terra takes charge and takes him to her faveroite resteraunt and theme park. They go on the ghost train which BB would obviously not have done without Terra and Terra goes on the Rolercoaster which she would obviously not have done without BB. Terra and BB almost kiss but are interupted (damn you Slade). Beastboy at first refuses to believe Terra's betrayal and also proves himself a worthy opponent putting up a good fight against Slade. Terra then admits to BB that she did betray the titans and BB obviously is distraught during which he lets his happy-go-lucky charade slips and becomes more serious. He is obviously hurt by Terra and lashes out by saying she has no friends. This shows the power they have over each other. BB could have stopped Terra going with Slade if only Terra hadn't had upset him, they both depend on each other. The end of the episode sees Beastboy heartbroken wrapped around the heart-shape-box gift from earlier. Later Terra returns, trained by Slade and ready to wreak havok. She defeats the titans one by one preying off of there weakness but no matter what she does BB still wants to give her a second chance. In previous episodes BB has still been shown as the funny guy, which ironically also seemed to annoy most viewers who found humor in the other characters, such as Raven, who wouldn't know a good joke if it bit her in the cape. In this episode, he acts serious--too serious. It really didn't fit. But once again it is a fall of the mask that lies over BB, he becomes more emotional but after all Terra has done even he has to admit, she is Slades warrior. Eventually the true Terra is revealed and through BB's words she can not become evil. She can not kill BB no matter how much Slade tries to control her, her raw emotion is too much and she turns upon her would be master. Unfortunatly for her the raw emotion is also raw power and she becomes turned to stone to sacrifice herself for the city. Her lasts moments with BB leaves a lasting impression on him and the audience.
The next series both seem to forget about BB which leaves us to series five which is all together HIS series. In the last episode Terra returns, but changed. BB is over joyed at her return until he realises it's not her. The last episode shows his growth from the comic releaf guy with a falling charade (though we still don't know what's underneath) to someone who has overcome heart ache and eventually manages to move on. We do not know if Terra is simply supressing her emotions as they are too powerful to confront or really has no memory but either way BB goes to any length to try and prove it, and fails. The titans who are busy fighting an unbeatable villain say it bluntly to the audience as they do to beastboy 'Beastboy we need you'. Beastboy continues to try and cling to the past 'why can't things go back to the way they were' but as the name of the episode says 'Things Change'. At the end when Beastboy does turn away and give up knowing it is futile and goes back to his friends shows his journey from an immature and (more than slightly) nervous boy into a confident and capable hero with more than a small nudge from Terra. BB has learnt to grow up and with this comes all his depth and Terra has been with him every important step away from his closest friend, first crush, traitor, sacrificor and finally as his last obstacle of a memory he had to overcome. Yeah I'm done... )
