Hi, I’m Kassandra. I’m 14, born in Chicago, and raised in Oklahoma, California, and now New Jersey. I’m obsessed with The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, How To Train Your Dragon, The Vampire Diaries, Divergent, and a vast array of other normal fangirl obsessions. My husbands include: Gale Hawthorne, Peeta Mellark, Finnick Odair, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hensworth, Hiccup H. Haddock III, Snotlout Jorgenson, Logan Lerman, Jesse DeSliva, Adam Young, Four/Tobias, Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Romeo Montague, Dexter Carlton (character of my novel), Wesley Hoff (my novel), Briar Burke (my novel), Hector Vixen/Griffin (my novel), and a boatload more. Literature is utterly the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I'm the most hard core reader you'll meet. In one school year, I pounded through one hundred fifty novels; the next year I started to write one. I started my novel--currently titled For Both Are Infinite--around the middle of seventh grade, after I submitted a short story into a contest in school. It was entitled For Both Are Infinite, a quirky, Meg Cabot styled, eight page story in Romeo Montague of Romeo and Juliet's point of view. To my uttermost surprise, it got third place. At that moment I decided to expand it, and here I am now, 200 pages in, knee-deep in plot lines, characters, and dialogue. I love writing fan fictions. They're great for describing and dialogue practice, for you already have a set of characters and settings to work off of. I've finished one fan fiction, about Finnick Odair of The Hunger Games's son. It's basically just him reflecting over life, his father he's never met, and the disoriented wreck of a mother he takes care of. I've been told people were moved to tears by it, but I highly doubt it's the truth. |
