Having escaped from Asgardian justice, Loki returns to Earth to make the Avengers pay for ruining his moment of glory. He studies them, learns their pasts and weaknesses to use against them. Trouble is, one of them reminds him a bit of himself... and it makes him feel unacceptably uncertain.

Thor has just broken the news to his friends that, once again, Loki is dead. This time it's definitely true. They have to admit dying in Thor's arms is pretty compelling evidence but how many times does Loki have to die before it sticks?

For an Avengerkink prompt. Tony's arc reactor is fairly invasive and must have other side effects beyond the palladium poisoning. What if, as a result, Tony is unable to respond to a call to Assemble but the team doesn't know why? Misunderstandings all around! Que angst and h/c!

Every once in a while, the Arc Reactor becomes too unbearable for Tony to even haul himself out of bed, and he takes a day. Because he deserves that much at least, right? Unfortunately, the team doesn't quite understand. Prompt fill for the illustrious kinkmeme. Rated for language, violence, and distressing visuals. Tony whump.

Post-Avengers. Odin, in his infinite wisdom, has decided to go for the poetic justice angle as far as Loki's punishment is concerned. For his attempt to enslave humanity, Loki has his magic and powers bound, and is sent back to Midgard and given over to Tony Stark to be his slave. Tony is none too happy about this arrangement. Eventually Tony/Loki.

TASM crossover- Peter didn't see a problem with helping the Avengers out from time to time. It's not like he expected them to thank him or anything. And he certainly never expected them to grow so fond of him. The villains of New York are going to learn that nobody messes with the Avenger's spider. (Slow-building, Peter joins the team, some whump and angst along for the ride)

"So, why are we going to … Little Whinging? How is there even a town named Little Whinging? Is it next to Greater Whinging? Part of Blubbering County? Bisected by the Distraught River, perhaps? Compare and Contrast the Following, Part I. While Loki is imprisoned in the aftermath of his defeat, a foreign disc arrives on the Helicarrier and the Avengers watch Loki's degeneration. The Avengers watch the movie 'Thor'. Now, in knowing Loki, they begin to wonder at the motivation for his most recent actions, and who else was involved in directing the Chitauri army.

Tony doesn't answer every single question put to him, but Steve usually asks anyway. (Vaguely a companion piece to Meaningless Conversations.)

Tony never became Iron Man – or an Avenger – but the Avengers were still put together to save the world from Loki. After the first battle the Avengers begin to receive help from an unknown source, guiding them during missions and in some cases keeping the team together. Fury wants the culprit caught while Steve feels they should thank him instead of putting him behind bars.

Tony snorts. "You're the yardstick, you know that? First superhero ever. if I had a dollar for every time I've been judged by your standard..." he pauses. "Actually I think I might. I have a lot of dollars." - the story of why Howard sucks and Steve is an idiot. No slash.

It was only when people actually saw John working as a physician that they began to understand: that it wasn't just about bullets and IEDs and trauma care under fire. Loki had every intention of wreaking havoc upon Midgard the moment his suicide attempt had failed, it was just too bad that Midgard ended up being so distracting. Who knew that such a primitive society would have such a novel concept as therapy?

Odin never took Loki from the temple. Years later, a peace conference is organized to prevent several wars from breaking out among the realms. Laufey showing up was unexpected, as was the little prince that came with him.

...And one time it really wasn't. Just some flustered Coulson trying to reign in an eccentric man with too much time on his hands, too much money in his pockets, and too much intelligence in his brain.

The aftermath, as how I see it. An apology has never been so difficult.

They called him paranoid. Pepper preferred the term cautious. Added little one shots, and then a look at the team's view on Tony.
