Sirius is released from Azkaban, once more a free man, to find that there is nothing left of his old family. Moony has had almost seven years to move on and Harry… well, he has found new parents in his aunt and uncle and does not even remember his godfather. Following a desperate need to make up for lost time, he goes looking for a purpose and promptly finds one he hadn't expected.

Harry was at Grimmauld Place and was feeling incredibly fond of everyone there. The dinner passed with laughter and joy, until Fred said something that Harry didn't know how to respond to. How should he? Nobody had ever said that to him before.

Sirius is free and he's gaining custody of Harry! But he still has to spend the first few weeks of his summer with the Dursleys. Sirius and Remus come to get him and find him locked in the cupboard under the stairs.

Unable to sleep, Harry joins Sirius and Remus in the kitchen late at night and learns more about them and his own past than he'd ever known. There is baking involved.
