I am really just a reader on this site, but, I have started to write a Hunger Games story. It will be at least four parts, covering one year before the actual series starts, then all the books there after. I might do a fifth one as well, but I'm not sure. I've already written nearly 200,000 words, or just about that, but I am not posting anything until I am done at least the four that I knew I would do. Because I don't want to disappoint anyone with waiting for a long time for updates, I plan on updating once a week. This being said, there's a lot going on in my life right now so it may be some months before I begin posting. Update: So maybe I started posting before I finished my story... whoops. But worry not, I'm very invested in this story. And I know how disappointing it is to get into a story just to have it never be finished, so I'm going to try my very hardest not to let that happen!

The story isn't beta'd, I've gone through it a few times and edited it, I am pretty good with grammar and spelling, but if anyone notices anything, or better yet, if anyone can beta please let me know. I am trying to write the best story possible. But I am mostly writing it for myself, it's what I wanted to happen in the Hunger Games books, as much as I absolutely love the real books, I really wanted Katniss and Gale to end up with each other, so that's the reason for the story. I hope everyone enjoys it, and constructive criticism is welcome, but please no flames. I started out reading Harry Potter fan fiction. When a fan fiction is written well I sometimes prefer it over the books, at least prefer what some write more than the real epilogue. I like Draco and Hermione together, (they are my favorite). Hermione would not be good with Ron, they would not be able to have an intelligent conversation. They are much better as just friends. And I like it when stories are plausible, like when if Jo didn't write the epilogue the story seems like a legitimate possibility for the way their lives would go. Something that is not super out of character, although once in a great while it is fun to read those (guilty pleasure!! haha :-P). One other than that is usually a necessary for me is that Harry is with Ginny. I really, really like them together. Ron I think I like with Luna the most with fan fictions but he could really be with anyone BUT Hermione for all I care.

So story likes: Draco & Hermione, Harry and Ginny, Stories taking place at least post Half Blood Prince (but not including epilogue), People staying pretty much in character, Third person point of view stories (though I will read an occasional first person pov), I'm a sucker for Veela stories; when Draco is a Veela-not Hermione, & Marriage Law stories (when Draco and Hermione end up together, of course!).

I like a good Hermione and Tom Riddle (Jr. obviously) story. It doesn't matter whether Tom is in the future or Hermione's in the past, but I don't like it when it gets too dark, but it can't be too bright at first either. Tom and Hermione can hate each other at first, and maybe have evil intentions toward each other, but I like when, in time, Hermione turns Tom to the good side. I don't like when Hermione turns dark, I just don't see her doing that, I think that the super goodhearted-ness of Hermione would eventually change anyone. I realize that Tom Riddle can't 'feel' love, he's a sociopath, right? But so is Dexter (you know, from the show Dexter), and even though he starts dating Rita to try to blend in, he ends up really caring about her in his own way, and is completely broken up when she dies. So I figure that Tom can come to care for Hermione in a similar way.

Story don't likes: Ron and Hermione, Blaise Zabini being a girl. He is a boy. Period., Blaise Zabini not being black. I don't know if it said anywhere in the books that he was Italian, maybe people assume because of his last name? But in the book he is a black boy, and in the movies, I think they did a great job casting that actor, it's almost exactly how I pictured him., I don't dig it when people make Pansy a blonde, but I picture her with black hair anyways, so whatever., Hermione and Snape; that's simply blasphemy!! Haha, but seriously, it's effin' gross. And come on people, she's a insufferable know-it-all remember? His words. Plus he could be her father (age-wise I mean! I don't like stories that say that she's Snape's daughter. To be honest I think of Snape as asexual. He just doesn't seem the type to get close enough to anyone to do that type of stuff. ANYWAYS...), Any incest, yuck. (I know that the Lannister Twins in aSoIaF are together but I certainly don't like reading about it!), Authors making characters gay that aren't gay... especially the main characters, I don't care if they make Dennis Creevey gay, but Harry isn't, alright?, Sirius and Remus, they are best friends, and nothing more., I'm all for a little bit of Ron-bashing. He can be caught cheating or doing something stupid. But he's not a horrible person. He's not going to purposely beat Hermione or anything like that. He's not a bad guy, he just doesn't belong with Hermione in my mind. I don't mind, and actually rather like, when he's angry and confused at Hermione for liking Draco or whatever when he finds out in fan fictions, but I like it when he eventually comes around and realizes that he is one of Hermione's best friends and that he should be happy for her., People being super out of character, Hermione's not going to magically come back after the summer with straight hair, a short skirt, and not care about her studies anymore, it's just not gonna happen.

•Oh, and when people use bad grammar. I am a grammar freak, so... and spelling. I notice it all the time. Normally it's just "there" instead of "they're" or "piece" instead of "the wizarding world finally had peace after Harry defeated moldy old Voldy." And, to me, with grammar comes punctuation. Although I have read a couple really good stories with this, it still bothers me, and by this I mean not having the real quotation marks around quotations. Instead they use apostrophes. Yeah, I don't like that. Quotes should have quotation marks, why the hell else would they be called that!? Hahaha, sometimes that's just a deal breaker for me.

And to be completely honest I really don't enjoy reading first person point of view stories nearly as much as third point of view ones, but I have enjoyed a couple of them as well.

Other series and stories I like reading about and the couples I ship:

A Song of Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones (I really do hate that they have the two different categories, but I can see the point of it I suppose. Off the top of my head, for example, [mind you I've only read 3 1/2 of the books, I do need to finish them!] I absolutely hate the way that Stannis is portrayed in the show, he is such a different person in the books, in the show, just ugh.) And while reading any fan fictions I picture the people as they are described in the books (even though I watched season one of the show first) for example, the Stark family, all the siblings and half-siblings [though I'm thinking that he's really their cousin, anyways...] except for Jon and Arya are supposed have "Tully coloring" - blue eyes, and auburn hair, while Jon and Arya have "Stark coloring" -brown hair and grey eyes, and Sansa's hair I think is described more of a copper, but I can't remember for sure. Anyway, in the show, Robb is the only one with even slightly red hair, (I'm not including Sansa, everyone knows what Sansa looks like). So that annoys me. And Daenerys, along with her brother, whom I hate, are supposed to have violet colored eyes, and while Emilia Clarke has a lovely natural eye color, it's not hard - at all, I do it everyday - to pop in a pair of contacts. Anyway, ships:

Arya & Gendry - I will go down with this ship.

Sansa & Sandor - It's unexpected but I find it lovely.

And one that is gone all but in the fan fiction-sphere, Daenerys & Khal Drogo - I loved them together! It's so not fair!

Everyone one else, I'm just "whatever" with, "they're probably going to die anyway!"

Katniss & Gale - Gale's been there for her family since she was 11 (or was it just-turned-twelve?) I think they're better together. (I also picture them as described in the books, olive skinned, grey eyes, with straight black hair, 'the Seam look', though I do picture Liam's face, because it's just so damned pretty.
