Having moved out of the potting shed and been promoted to Assistant Manager at the Independence Inn, Lorelai is finally starting to get ahead. However, one thing she can't seem to control is the impact Chris' irresponsibility has on 10.y.o. Rory. As Luke becomes more of a fixture in the Gilmore girls' lives, will Lorelai finally realize he could be their knight in shining plaid?

I'm taking the events that were brought up (and then forgotten about) in the last few episodes of season 5 and totally running with them and twisting them into something completely different. The story starts in "Blame Booze and Melville" and then goes pretty much AU after the first chapter.

This opening up has a mistimed bedroom encounter between Luke and Lorelai and the rest of the story if their attempt at a recovery. I have an idea of where it will go, who knows if it will get there. I've put in a rating T, but may change it to M if the smut takes hold. \ (ツ) /
