My Story
Hey there! =) So somehow, you've managed to stumble across my profile page. Here's a quick bit about myself...
I was nine years old when our family packed the Jeep for an hour-long drive to Hampstead, New Hampshire. We pulled into the gas station off the highway for a greasy box of Don's locally-famous fried chicken and an outdated Sonic the Hedgehog comic book I found off the dusty racks. Issue #98, I remember the cover distinctly. We drove down the potholed road to Sanborn Shore Acres Campground to park our seasonal trailer, our summer getaway. I stood at the woodland-enclosed shoreline and let the warm waters of Big Island Pond lap my toes. I was overcome with a sense of stillness that I haven't found anywhere else in the world.
Years later with my childhood summers behind me, when I think of Sonic the Hedgehog, I think back to those balmy summer afternoons clattering away at a laptop keyboard my latest fanfiction story. And in the end, that's what I have always enjoyed: writing stories.
I’ve been an avid writer all my life. Ever since I can remember, I've been playing make-believe, slipping into another person's skin, pretending to be someone else and making up stories. I've been writing since I could write and its been a journey, a process of self-discovery, and a hobby I can say I've held onto for some good nineteen years of my life =). I’ve been fanfic-writing since I was about eleven or twelve when my crazy friend Sarah got me addicted to anime and showed me the FanFiction.net website.
--Well, after a weak start and filtering through the heaps and heaps of disposable junk, I’ve decided to establish myself into the FF.net community. I really hope to make friends this way, not just in the Sonic fandom (since a great bulk of my fanfiction will have been based on the Sonic fandom), but in the entire site community, members from everywhere and anywhere. Plus, I’ve been going through two tough years without writing much and I need to retune my skills. I appreciate all the help-- constructive criticism and support I can get.
--I’m a longtime fan, true-blue follower of Sonic the Hedgehog. Ever since I was nine years old, the games, the comics, the shows-- I did it all. As a Sonic fan who grew up experiencing the different developments in this dispersed fandom over the years, I can’t say that I disrespect any one of the fandom particulars. I have my favorites of course, but I would never put anyone down for their fandom preference. Its childish when other people to do it and that's not why I'm here.
--If I had to typecast my fanfic style, I'd have to say that I’m a SatAM fanfiction writer. But let me just set the record straight-- that’s not to say that I can be classified in that steadfast, intolerant, purist fan-stereotype that’s circulating out there about the SatAM oldtimers either. Everyone tends to assume in this genre that one SatAM fan is equal to being intolerant of Amy-x-Sonic, Mina-x-Sonic pairings, SEGA influences and so on and so forth. That’s never entirely true, just as it isn’t true of any fanfic writer stereotype put out there. I’m really open-minded, honest! Sonic-x-Amy, Archie comic, SEGA games, Sonic X-- I’ll read anything that makes a good story. That’s what we’re in it for anyway, right? Good stories.
--I don’t put people down for their genre of choice. I’m not gonna put out a “ur story sux! duuurrrr.. rantrantrant, raveraverave-” kind of statement for a review just because of the pairing fandom you support. A lot of people say this, but never really follow true. I can honestly say I do. As a Sonic-x-Sally fan, believe me, I’ve had more than my fair share of Sally-Haters. I would never do the same to anyone else. If I think your story could use some work, I give constructive criticism, but I don’t criticize your fandom support. End of story.
--I've tried to "grow-up" and leave aside the Sonic fandom, but I gave up trying because no matter how hard I’ve tried to pry myself away from it, I’ve always been drawn back in. And why leave something that brings you such joy just because other people think you should? If that were true, then SatAM would never have lasted this long as a fandom. Its a cherished memory from my childhood and a piece of myself I won't throw away. I’ve been captivated with it for so many years of my life- the stories, the characters, the speedy little blue guy.
So I’ve given up trying to distract myself with the craziness of everyday life, because he never gave up on me-- and just because I could never entirely give up either.
I hope you enjoy any works I submit in the future. Thanks for hearing out my story.
Oh right, and hug a mutated fox cub today, okay? (hugging Tails)

WORKS in PROGRESS
"I'm glad for the SatAM to end in the Doomsday Finale. How do we know the fight would have continued as vigorous?
Does the fight end in Robotnik's tyrannical reign? To end with the ultimate victory, the greatest defeat and conquer, in the true kiss, in crackling sparks of firework crescendo, and then the lurking lackey unveiled as a new formidable foe?
With the suspicion that stories were told beyond the end of the ultimate story? The cliffhanger keeps our imaginations at work. It says that those stories happened, despite the spent reel. When the writers put down the pens, did the stories end in the final stab of pen in a period mark? Certainly not! Otherwise, where would we, the fanfiction writers, come in?
We tell the stories before, the stories afterward and every detail in between.
We are SatAM, you guys, and we tell the greatest stories of them all.
And in tribute to the Freedom Fighters as we keep them in our memories and in our hearts,
TO A FREE MOBIUS!"
An older, yet dear-to-my-heart project has been to tackle on that age-old what-if wonder-- SatAM Season 3. I intend to compose it using direct resources provided from FUS network connections to former SatAM writer Ben Hurst to combine his statements on the planned, but unreleased season and my own somewhat SatAM purist elements. It will be an ongoing work in progress.
MEMO UPDATE-- Hey all! Just finished The Rusted Memoir. Hope to get to Headed for the Horizon or update SatAM S3 before the end of August.
RECENTLY COMPLETED... The Rusted Memoir (SEGA)
CURRENT WORKS-in-Progress... SatAM S3 (SatAM), Headed for the Horizon (Sonic X)
Read my sad and lonely fics at your leisure. Oh yes... and I would love any sort of review. Please, I'm desperate =D
(THANK YOU BTW, from ALL of the Reviewers of my SatAM Letter piece, your support was inspiring)
Sadly, I had to delete the Letter since I was warned that it was not a fanfic persay.. more like my bawling on paper, XD.
I have moved it to the -FUS- Message Board, and to read, follow this link:
and you know I love replies :)
And in the meantime, check out My Favorites listings. Trust me, they are totally worth the read!!
PS I feel that the writing pursuit, whether for leisure or in the profession, is hard enough without flamers and bashers pummeling us at every side. This is why I believe that it this site is much like a give-&-take relationship. A review from ANYONE will be returned acknowledged and I will, in turn, review a piece of theirs. Give n' take. Live and let write.
