Author has written 1 story for Star Wars. Age: 15 Occupation: High School Student (Right now I'm in that weird transitional phase between 10th and 11th grade.) Name: Stanley R. I joined this site because I had a fanfic-in progress-that I wanted to share and get critiqued on, and because I've recently begun reading a lot of the work here. Well, some of the work here. My only story right now, Memories in the Force, centers around Scout from Yoda: Dark Rendezvous, and reimagines what happens to Scout after Order 66, following the Republic Commando timeline by Karen Traviss. I didn't really like what she did to Scout, because she makes her so wimpy, and Scout's better than that. I also created a new character-one of two that will eventually be introduced-just because I wanted the story to take a different route than "Scout goes to Mandalore and somehow disappears between Republic Commando and Legacy of the Force." I love Karen Traviss' writing, but I feel she takes too many liberties with the Star Wars characters. Ex: Sev and Scorch. Mostly Sev. Of course, it's a fanfic, so I'll take liberties too. Just not so much with Scout's personality. At least, I'll try not to. I'll probably add author's notes to the end of each chapter eventually. I like video games, writing, and reading. Fav Authors: Orson Scott Card, Jack McDevitt, Karen Traviss I'm not really a huge Star Wars fan (in terms of the movies) but I'm relatively familiar with the EU. Mostly due to KOTOR 1 and 2, Republic Commando, Jedi Knight, Karen Traviss, and Wookieepedia. Okay, so I'm a huge EU fan. I'm a Doctor Who (Revived Series) fan. Smith's cool, but I doubt anyone will ever beat Tennant. Lost and House are over, but when they were still running I watched them avidly. Avidly. I'll update this more later. Please rip my work apart. Thanks.* (Seriously.) |
