Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter. So, I'm from Canada, and I hate all the stereotypes people label on us for living here in the "north". - We don't use a dog sled to get to school, nor do we use a moose. - We don't live in Igloos, (though some might up in Nunavut and the Yukon). - We don't have snow all year round. It normally starts at the end of November and ends completely in March or April. The rest of the time, grass can be seen. What we do have in Canada - Temperature that can drop to - 50C (worst case scenario) - We have blizzards sometimes. - We do say "eh" a lot (I am SO guilty of that. You can tell I'm Canadian right off the bat). - Maple Syrup (It's awesome) - Moose and deer crossing signs at, like, every corner of the road. - Great beer. - Hockey (*go sens go*) So as you can see, the pros outweigh the cons, do they not? :3 OK, a bit about me: Favorite Color : Depends on the day. Mostly it's green, a dark blue or a deep red. Favorite Movie(s): I have so many, but here are the main ones (not in order of preference). - Defiance - Sense and Sensibility - The Silence of the Lambs ( I had this thing for Hannibal Lecter. Don't judge :P ) - The Harry Potter series (More specifically the fifth movie) - Taken - Saving Private Ryan (I'm a history geek) - August Rush - Memoirs of a Geisha Favorite TV shows: - NCIS (NOT LA, I hate that one) - Mythbusters - House - The History Channel - The Discovery Channel Favorite Books : - Sense and Sensibility - The whole Harry Potter series - The Silence of the Lambs - The Vampire Academy series, by Richelle Mead - One Soldiers War - Edgar Allen Poe Favorite Hobbies : - Painting - Drawing - Reading - Listening to Music - Playing Guitar (acoustic) - Write - Skiing Favorite Musical Artists: - John Mayer (Saw him in concert) - Michael Bublé (Just saw him in concert) - Rush (Saw them in concert) - ACDC - Jimi Hendrix - Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Billy Joel - The Beatles - Kansas - Bon Jovi - The Dubee Brothers - Frank Sinatra - Thin Lizzy ... And so many many more. I have two siblings. An older brother and an older step sister. I am, of course, the youngest, but I like to think that the best things come in small packages. I don't believe in war, but I love the history of it all. I believe in peace, but I think there isn't enough of it in our past, and I hope there is a lot of it in our future. I value knowledge more than vanity, and prefer to talk to people twice my own age or older. I think that the older ones have the best stories to tell, and have the power to make the simplest stories the best ever heard. I'm always told that I should socialize more, but I bask in my own solitude. I speak French fluently, because it is my first language, and I go to French school. I speak English just as well as my French ( if not better), but I find I write better in English. I am learning Russian, and been for about a year. There was no reason for it, I just wanted to learn a new language, and thought Russian would be fun. I love exotic food. I have yet to find a restaurant who makes better sushi than my dad. I love thai, and I put hot sauce or chilli peppers ( or both) on all my food. I love cheesecake. I love taking pictures. I love buying old books were their previous owners wrote quick notes in it. I try and figure out their identity, and try to relate to them. I love to ride our public transport buses just to sit there and past time. I love to travel. I've been to Ontario, Québec, P.E.I, Nova-Scotia, New Brunswick, Florida, and Toronto. I want to go to Russia, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Venice, Portugal, Paris, Rome, London and Australia. I am almost one hundred percent sure my husband is waiting for me in Ireland. I'll find my leprechaun one day, I just have have to follow the trail of lucky charms. I WILL move somewhere colder than Canada, because I can't stand the heat. I'll probably end up somewhere in northern Russia. That is all I can think of at the moment. |
