Simple Information:

My name is Mirani (formally known as hawaiiangurl622, my early teen pen-name).

I...like to write? I think that's obvious. I also like reading, RPing, trolling forums, and playing MMOs - TERA, WoW, SWTOR when it was launched and not terribad. I also have a Sims addiction. Sue me.

I'm in my late teens, and I live in the United States.

Writing Style:

I've traveled a lot, so that is typically reflected in my writing.

My writing style has changed, as is reflected in the old stories vs. the new ones. I prefer the new ones, and I hope you do, too.

I used to keep my stories relatively free from foul language and questionable situations. Violence... eh. It's beginning to pop up in AAC. However, the older I get, the darker and more cynical my plots become. I'll keep it tasteful, but my stories will no longer be K. I may even revise some of my older ones for this new style. In fact, I think I will!

I'm a grammar Nazi and I'm proud of it.

Update Schedule:

Updating is fun. But. My life... it's hectic. And a very complicated situation. Suffice it to say that around the time I stopped updating AAC, my home-life went downhill faster than a slinky down stairs. I didn't get a chance to escape until late December, where I ran off with (believe it or not) someone I'd met over World of Warcraft. Now, I live on the opposite side of the States, with two cats in a lovely apartment with he who became my fiance in February.

Otherwise, I generally update a story, at max, once every three months. Usually because I'm distracted by RP/brain dumps of terrible fanfiction. Better there than here.

Code: LYOKO:

XANA's Own - Completed, as of '07. First fan fic. Under revision for terribadness.

The Return of XANA - Completed, originally in '07 or '08. Can't remember, just that it was on hiatus for a bit. Second fan fic, sequel to XANA's Own. Next up for revision.

The Destruction of XANA: Revelations - In-progress, started in '10. Originally The Destruction of XANA. Third installment, after TRoX. Updated at least once every three months.

The Destruction of XANA: Evolution - In-progress, started in '12. A rewrite of XANA's Own, after looking at the first chapter and wanting to carve my eyes out with a rusted plastic spork. Sense, it makes none. But. It is a nice, darker twist on the series. Updated as I force myself to bleed through an old chapter for revision.

XANA's Curse - Infinite hiatus. I actually cannot remember the plot of this one, other than that I based the character loosely after World of Warcraft. Likely going to be orphaned, unless I decide to rewri- You know what? No false hope. Up for adoption, if anyone wants.

Naruto:

An Accidental Crossing - In-progress, on temporary hiatus. Has been rewritten, but chapters were replaced and now it flows smoothly. I was updating regularly, then I took an arrow to the knee. Oops, I mean, hit an invisible wall. Turns out writing a whole chapter in Ilki's point of view is hard. However, as of May 2012, I have picked it back up and have been steadily working on another 14,000 word chapter.

Peace, Prosperity, Chaos - Started this at the end of June '12. Based loosely off 'The Village', with a bunch of other TV shows/movies/games/etcetera wrapped in if you squint really hard. First time I've started a story where the OCs are not paired with canon characters, and they never will be. Very proud of this one.

Golden Angel - Complete, as it was a one-shot, in '07. Unofficially a fan girl brain dump. I'd burn it, but I like using the internet as a "My Documents" folder. Recommendation? Ignore it.

Phantom of the Opera:

Sonata - In-progress. A nice little side story of mine as I work on character development. Started in '12.

Story-Related Art:

I've an art monkey who does amazing work for my characters. I love her dearly, and would like to share her work here.

Currently, I have her on two projects: an encompassing character sheet for my C:L stories, and an age-scaled sketch of Mirani/Ilki for AAC. She's also helping me do covers for the stories I actively work on.
