My life-time goal is to become a teacher. I made it! Sort of.

I've been writing since I was about four years old, and I'm still improving (I hope).

My free time is devoted to fanfiction (of course), video games, reading (mostly fantasy), writing, music, and knitting.

I am a grammar nazi. You can blame my eleventh grade composition teacher for this. I posted some advice for fanfiction writers in my livejournal, since it would take up too much space here.

My current obsessive fandoms are Harry Potter (shoot, relapse!) and Homesick.

Unfortunately, I am one of those horrible writers who updates very sporadically, so please bear with me. I will not abandon any of my ongoing fics, although it may seem like it.

That said, I mostly write (read: post for public viewing) one-shots, because I tend to lose interest and/or track of my plot by page 20 or so. I promise I won't start posting any other chaptered fics unless they are already completed, or of the related-oneshots variety.

Updating Status: My sister got me hooked on homestuck, and I have been posting a novelization over on AO3 (I needed the ability to type in color), so there hasn't been a lot of other writing going on. My WIPs are listed at the bottom of my profile if you're looking for a particular story update.

My Favorites list has a healthy (or unhealthy) mix of Suikoden, Wheel of Time, Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, FMA, and Harry Potter fics, so check one out if you're interested.

FMA: "The Contraries Arc" by Sol 1056. Google it.

HP: (Harry/Draco) "Secrets" by Vorabiza -in the opinion of myself and my sister, this is what book 7 should have been. You can find this on Hexfiles, Skyhawke, and a number of other places. It's the first thing that comes up when you search her.

HP: (Mentor!Severus) "A Year Like None Other" by Aspen in the Sunlight -and she's got two sequels so far. Also on Skyhawke, and I'm not sure where else.

I'm really into well-written time-travel fics and smart!main-character fics, so if you know of any good ones not already on my favorites, feel free to let me know!

My Fanfiction Creed:

Writing is an interactive process.

Authors love to feel appreciated. Ergo:

If I take the time to read more than ten chapters at a go, or find that I cannot stop until I reach the end, I will review.

If I wish to put a story on my favorites’ or alert list, I will review.

I will always sign in to review. I am not ashamed of sharing my opinion, and the author has the right to know at whom to be peeved.

When I review, I will endeavor to offer constructive criticism in a non-threatening way. If I cannot find concrit, I will say so.

I will always pair concrit with specific praise.

I will consider plot, characterization, foreshadowing, background story, and other literary devices, and not merely spelling and grammar.

I will never flame.

My readers have the right to expect me to write to the best of my ability. In order to fulfill this expectation, I promise to adhere to the following:

When I post a story, I will use spell-check.

I will read my chapter/story at least twice over for errors before I post.

I will reply to reviews or concerns when it is possible to do so.

I will accept reviews graciously. I will fix any errors that are pointed out and make changes as appropriate.

I will not hold my story hostage to reviews. I will not chide my reviewers, nor beg them.

I will attempt to update when I say I will do so. If such is impossible for any reason, I will post a note within the month so that my readers will know.

I will not post a chaptered story unless I have at least two chapters in reserve and know how I want it to end. I will never leave a cliff hanger if I don’t have the next chapter written.

I will attempt to make my title and summary clear and interesting.

I will limit my author’s notes to relevant information and a disclaimer.

The Mirror of the Mind has several chapters started, but they all need fleshing out. If there's a character you particularly want to see, let me know.

Secret Smiles is in-progress. I am working on it as the muse strikes, with a sad little start of 200 words. I will try to continue, but am still deciding how closely to stay to canon, and how to deal with (SPOILER!!) the fact that the story lines involving Mat and Tuon are in their povs. Among other things. If you've got an opinion on this, please vote in my poll. Feedback is greatly appreciated.

You Win, This Time is sort-of-kind-of in progress, but it will take awhile (read: years. I apologize). This is a serious piece, or it will be in chapter two, where the plot should start.

The Alphabet of Uzumaki Naruto- my project. First chapter is up. Working on choosing the second title (eg, matching the themes to letters). Suggestions welcome.

Pieces of the Puzzle- I have one more possible chapter written (it needs polishing). I may post more if there's interest, or I am bitten by a rabid plot bunny.

A Story a Day...- My dumping ground for HP shots, rather than producing many many woefully short stories. More will likely be added when the muse strikes.
