Author has written 9 stories for Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy VII, Harry Potter, and Assassin's Creed. I'm Laura, I am older, wiser, but I still have a real passion for writing. My creative spirit had recently been crushed by a Journalism course, mind numbing, destructive relationships, all sorts of family problems amongst other things, but now I am gradually regaining my gift. :) I am still trying to find my place in life, currently working at McDonald's. I plan to retrain somehow, when I can afford it, else change to something far more profitable and stimulating. Anything that will develop rather than destroy my creativity! My other interests include: writing original fiction (although that's hard for me these days) socialising (when I have the money, though I keep in touch with the comp, i.e: Facebook), swimming (occasionally), cycling (very occasionally, even then only at the gym - I prefer my car!), reading (though I really should expand my mind further than Harry bloody Potter!) playing video games, a mixture of both old and new (I am a particular fan of Final Fantasy, as you may have guessed by my two stories) and arcade games made for the good old BBC Micro system of twenty-some years ago... a marvellous machine. I also bought a Mega Drive secondhand a few years back. Go retro gaming! :P My Final Fantasy VIII zombie-fic, Squall of the Dead, has been immensely popular, but don't overlook my other story, Final Fantasy VII story, A Time To Kill, which was begun in 2002, and took me a year to get round to finish. Still, I think it's stood the test of time, though I think the final chapter could do with re-wording... I am also working on a Harry Potter fanfiction The Forbidden Corridor, which just popped into my head one afternoon. It is so far Hermione-centric, and will be rated M due to some adult themes. I am also more than willing to beta for anyone who wants me to look their work over before submitting. :) I hope to register as an official beta soon once I get settled. Likes: buying stuff from iTunes, making people laugh, unintentionally usually; swimming; Assassin's Creed (Altaïr is yummy! yeah, I'm weird... -_- ) ; falling asleep in front of QI or Family Guy on TV; karaoke; conspiracy theories; Renaissance period history (ta, AC2); my job. Dislikes: pan pipes, World of Warcraft, giving directions, my job (yeah, it's one of those deals). Fandoms: Final Fantasy (VII-X-2, XII) (writing for and reading); Harry Potter (writing for and reading); The Mighty Boosh (just reading); Assassin's Creed (but most of the stuff I write is too hot for this site! Y U so sexy, Ezio? Also, I'm not big on historical/geographical accuracy, I'm just in it for the titillation. Favourite Authors: Judy Blume, J.K Rowling (of course!), James Herbert, Emma Blair, Oliver Bowden (pen name of the author who writes the Assassin's Creed novelisations), Charlotte Brontë (just got done reading Jane Eyre. Took a while to get into but it was amazing!). Side note: Some of my more salacious stuff is on A03 (Archive of Our Own) under the same pen name (MsJones). Read if you dare! ;) |
