Hey all! My pen name is La14 but you can call me Lauren or La :)

Just for a bit of background info:

I live in South Africa (where we don't have pet lions or ride elephants to school. I have a pet parrot but have always wanted a dog and my mom drives me to school in the morning in her car, not on an elephant. It is also ~unlike many people think~ not unbearably hot here; a hot day in summer is 30 degrees Celsius and an amazingly hot day [about 3 times a year] is 35 degrees.) but more specifically in Sandton (a very awesome and central part of Johannesburg [which is also known as Jo'burg and is the largest city in Africa.] Oh and just to clear up the mistake Sky News made during the Soccer World Cup, Jo'burg does not have a population of only 3 million people, that is in fact only the population of 1 of the municipalities within my home city; there are in fact over 7 million people in the Greater Johannesburg area alone. ;]) Sorry I'm rambling :}

I am 14 years old :) I have hazle eyes, but mostly green (you know- like granite green, not bright/emerald ] but I like them) :) My hair comes down to just past my shoulder blades (it used to be much longer but my hairdresser took off like 3 times more than I asked her to, so I have to grow it back :p) and is brown with (natural) blonde highlights :) and I'm about 1,68 meters (about 5 foot 6') tall :) Also I am in Grade 9 (Also we only have High School and Primary School, no Middle School. Therefor Primary School= Grade 0 - Grade 7 and High School= Grade 8 - Matric [Grade 12]. So you've guessed it; I've already gone through a year of High School and have LOVED every minuit of it!)

MY SPELLING IS ABSOLUTLY ABOMINABLE!

MY favourite sport is rowing (where you go backwards and is faster than canueing- where you go forwards. Also rowing does not turn you into a she-man. It is amazingly fun and it is even better for me because I get to do it with most of my best friends! ] )

I also love reading :) Some of my favourite books are the Harry Potter series, the Mortal Instruments series and the Spud Triology. I am actually looking for suggestions for more books to read, my favourite genre is fantasy and I don't particularly like sad books :)

I go to an all girls school (I'm not going to mention which 1 because you do get those dangerous, phsyco, stalker people out there) and before you ask, yes I do know guys (I'm not obsessed with them yet ;] ) and have some good guy friends aswell as my best gal freinds so stop harassing me! ;)

My favourite school subjects are NS (Natural Sciences= Biology + Science), Geography (my best subject marks wise) and amazingly enough Maths (I know, you must be thinking 'What the hell is wrong with this girl?' but as you see all my favourite subjects are logical and make sense, for them it's more putting things to use then learning (which is why I like studying for them for exams) unlike History which I still enjoy and is very interesting; the problem with it is that you have to anilyse things and look at oppinions and bla bla bla, plus you can't be biased!)

They're not all I like though. I enjoy the creative writing part of English, understanding (sort of) when my parents speak in Afrikaans because they don't think I can and don't want me to understand, and being able to swear but nobody knows that I'm swearing because I'm swearing in French (haha, unfortunatly this basicly only applies to family and family friends because most of the girls take French as their 3rd language elective for Grade 8 and 9 [we can drop our 3rd language in Grade 10]) Amazingly enough I absolutly HATE languages :} I just CAN'T grasp them.

Wow! I'm reading over this and I've baisicly given you the short history of my life! (And you're thinking 'Short?') But I figured I should probably tell you why I'm on FanFiction if I'm not writing very much (story wise). You see my BFF Karien (who is Afrikaans, ironic hey?) ~whose pen name is karoolis (she's an amazing writer by the way, you should check her stories out)~ got an account and bugged me to get 1 so I could review her stories. After much bugging and her telling me that I'm an amazing creative writer (I won a small prize in a writing competition for a 5 line poem and so I kept telling her it was only a 5 line poem!) and that I'll write amazing stories, I joined up; but this is mostly to review her, I could read everyone's amazing writing without having to be a member and I did so, almost daily :)

Figured I should apologise for my 1 absolutly c*@^ story (if you can call it that) that I have up so far. I promise that I will eventually put up something much, much better and much, much longer; but until then Sorry x infinity and kisses xx
