Callie Torres and Arizona Robbins didn't exactly have the best friendship. In fact, despite being neighbors, there wasn't really a friendship between the two of them at all. But it was kind of difficult to dislike someone you were stuck driving across the country with. Two girls. Two weeks. Eleven states. One road trip. A lot can happen when you're along for the ride.

AU Arizona lost her leg. It sucked. All the time. Callie is Arizona's new in-home nurse. Arizona hates her. Callie isn't the least bit affected by that.

The separate courses of Callie and Arizona's lives collided as the result of single, unplanned steps. For Arizona, it was in the donation of a book. For Callie, it was being forced to spend the last three dollars in her pocket on a random book in a used bookshop. A book with notes written all over the margins by A. Robbins.

A/U: Arizona has been the starting goalie for the UNC lacrosse team for the last three years. There was no doubt in her mind that she would keep that spot for her senior year. That is, until a new hotshot keeper comes to play for Tar Heels. It doesn't help that this new goalie is gorgeous and talented. Will Arizona be able to fight their inevitable connection?

Dr Arizona Robbins is close to desperate; she needs a business analyst to help manage her tiny biomedical company before the bank takes everything she's ever worked for.
