I'm a 30-year-old aspiring author who, sadly, also has to hold down a day job so that I can actually put some money in my bank account while I slave away over several original writing projects. This leaves me with little free time, but in that time I like to turn my focus to such things as reading, obsessing over anime and video games, honing my meager art skills, and writing fanfiction!

I took a five year hiatus from 2006-2011 to focus on my original works, but thanks to Dragon Age I've found myself bitten by the fanfiction bug once more. When you have a fanfiction plot that nags you so badly you find that you're accidentally writing Zevran and Anders into your novels, the most logical solution is to give them their own personal outlet. And since I can never do anything simple, I decided the best way to do this was with a multi-fic epic that I have entitled Arcanum. I've got a couple of unrelated DA one-shots in the works, too, but I make no guarantees on when those will get get released.

I've also begun to complete fanart projects for Arcanum, the first of which has been posted on my DeviantArt account - my name there is also Aynslesa. And if anyone else is interested in doing fanart *for* my story, drop me a line. Update: This project is currently suspended due to barely having enough time to write, let alone draw. However, the interest in procuring fanart for any of my stories still remains strong.

After a long, long debate with myself, I have also decided to start posting my Saint Seiya one-shots on Fanfiction.net as well. I was hesitant to start because 1) despite being thoroughly obsessed with the show (as any of my friends will tell you), I've only been a fan of the series for a few years, and 2) because I feared that diving into another fandom might impact my Dragon Age fanfiction. However, thanks to the current revival of the series in the form of Saint Seiya Omega, my obsession cup has been filled to capacity and is now overflowing, and I find I need an outlet. The first one-shot I've posted is Night Solace, a Shun/Hyoga post-Hades story that won Grand Prize at the 2011 Anime North Fanfiction Contest, but I hope to get some other one-shots up within the next few weeks. Expect lots of Gold Saints. I love the Gold Saints.

As for my previous stories that were in the works before my hiatus - sadly, I will likely not be returning to those. Not only are they so old that at this point I don't even remember what their plots were, but my writing style has changed so much over the years that I would have to give each of them a major rewrite before I could possibly proceed. I've opted instead to focus on my energies on my new project, and leave the previous ones preserved in their current states. I won't be removing them - I just won't be updating them.

I appreciate reviews - praise boosts my ego, and constructive criticism hones my skills. Both are very good for motivation. One thing I've learned over the years - there is *always* room for improvement!
