I am a published author of original fiction who not only doesn't "look down on" fanfic or fanfic writers, but actively lets people know even in professional circles that this is where I got my start, and that I still write it. I'm proud of my fanfic (well, maybe not so much the earlier ones, lol), and proud of all of us who express our creativity through our writing in a way that shares our love of characters and shows with each other.

Search Amazon for a series called "Takers" by Chris Davis and you'll find my first four novels (published by Plotfish Press). My first original novel "Takers" won its category – “Speculative Fiction – Contemporary Fantasy (set after 1940)” – in the 2012 Global Ebooks Awards. Woohoo!

I also have a series called "Morph" published under the pen name Amanda J. Banner, and under a third pen name, Krystyne Price, you'll find my series "Mer" and two stand-alones, "Talisman" and "Dimensions."

I have been using fan fiction to hone my writing skills for a long time. I will always want to write stories for the shows and characters who inspire me to do so.
