PS. UPDATE 1(8/2003): I have taken a two year break from writing HP fanfiction, but after recently receiving reviews from fans I have decided to continue my Draco story. It may take me a while to get out a chapter, but once I do, I plan to have another one on the way so people don't have to wait very long. I began this story before the fifth book, and I will not be making any changes to what I have already written. I will not include Sirius, but I haven't decided what I will do about everything else. I guess we'll see!

UPDATE 2 (4/2004): Chapter 3 is now uploaded! The writing style is a big different from the previous two chapters, but then I've had two years of a college education in between :-) I'm working on the 4th chapter now.

UPDATE 3 (5/2004): Chapter 4 is done, but it's in my computer at college (while I'm at home). It will be up on the last week of June/beginning of July.

UPDATE 4 (5/30/2004): Here's a cookie from Chapter 4: (erased since chapter is up now).

UPDATE 5 (7/7/04): So I've been trying to upload chapter 4, but I'm having trouble getting the document to upload as I wrote it (i.e. not as one continuous sentence). I hope to have it up in a couple of days when ff.net isn't having any more problems.

UPDATE 6 (7/10/04): Chapter 4 is finally up!

UPDATE 7 (7/12/04): Chapter 5 will be posted next Monday, July 19th, so you should be able to read it on Tuesday. (I have a midterm exam Friday). By the way, here's a little preview: one character goes for a ride, another one receives a declaration of love, a third and fourth get into a fight, and oh...did I mention that someone dies? Who? Well, lets just say you can wait and find out whether I'm someone you can trust :-)

UPDATE 8 (7/19/04): Chapter 5 is up!

UPDATE 9 (11/04): Sorry for the lack of new chapters! I have been working on the story and should have the next couple of chapters up during winter break. (Okay, that didn't happen, but I did write over break).

UPDATE 10 (5/5/05): Chapter 6 is up! Thanks for the reviews! I've been extra busy this year and knowing that someone wants to read the next chapter keeps me writing. And congrats to me--I'm graduating next week!

UPDATE 11 (7/13/05): I am currently working on Chapter 7, and I will get it up as soon as I can. The 6th HP book should get me motivated :-) For all of you who are wondering about Ginny, I will say this: there is a greater purpose behind it all...just trust me on this!

UPDATE 12 (11/18/05): Chapter 7 is up! Now I can go see the HP movie :-) Thanks so much to my beta, Crystal Music!

UPDATE 13 (7/22/06): The story continues with Chapter 8: Surprises! Yes, it does contain a couple of surprises as the title suggests. If you finish reading and are wondering what happened to Draco before and after this chapter, don't worry--you'll find out in the next chapter :-)
