Author has written 22 stories for Animorphs, Ratchet and Clank, Danny Phantom, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Saw. DeviantArt Account: jekkal.deviantart.com , and I swear it is WORTH YOUR TIME. Check out the stuff I do when I should be writing (or at least doing my homework), and check out the scraps too. Some spoliers and other What I used to be: I was actually one of Fanfiction.net's first columnists, writing about copyright laws and how they pertain to fanfiction! I also used to write Animorphs fanfic (Most known for Morphers and Tales from the Chambers), as well as Spyro the Dragon Fanfiction (Spyro Prime) What I am now: Just another college student whittling away her summer, writing The Vampire of Veldin for the Ratchet & Clank fandom. I already have an orginal novel titled Victory's Edge, but I don't have it on the internet in hopes of getting it published. How I write: Highly analytical. I do the research, I sketch the characters, I even go back and replay the levels to make sure I get the details right. I want my fanfics to feel like the works themselves, and I'll make the notes and do the effort to ensure that no detail goes overlooked. That being said, my tendency to always cover my tracks tends to make the fanfics take a life of their own . . . as The Vampire of Veldin is easily ramping up to have three near-simultaneous plots, that's a lot of story to cover! I estimate the story becoming one of my longest works yet. Longest Work: Easily Victory's Edge, at almost 200,000 words. My current work in progress, The Vampire of Veldin, has already clocked 102,000 (!). Don't worry, none of the chapters are over 5,000 words (and some aren't even over 1,000), so you can pick up at your leisure. Current Works (that I have any intention of updating in the future): Not included on this list are various one-shot vignettes for Vampire of Veldin that take place outside of the current continuity. These so far include Skeletons in your Fan Mail and Captain Qwark in Lights, Camera, Surrender!, and are added once I hit certain 'goals' with Vampire of Veldin (like a certain number of reviews or hits) or whenever I hit a real tangent, whichever occurs first. Note for Dedicated Readers: I can only gauge interest in a work when people write reviews! If you want to see more of a story, write a review! Even if it's just "Great stuff, write more", at least I know people like it. Obviously, the more in-depth the better, but I only write this stuff in my spare time at college and if I don't see that people are interested enough in it, I'm not as likely to update it. Ideally, a new review for each chapter is the smart way to go. If reviews aren't enough, I'll be glad to share details like my email address and IM accounts so people can contact me. Good things happen to those who ask. |
